Practitioner Mr. Shi Ning used to work at the Shengli Oil Field in Dongying. He was imprisoned at the Penglai Detention Center on November 2, 2006 and brutally tortured there. Currently his life is in peril.

Police from the Nongken Police Station in Baoquanling, Luobei County, Heilongjiang Province, arrested practitioner Mr. Fan Qiang. They secretly transferred him to the Jiansanjiang Detention Center. Mr. Fan went on a hunger strike in order to resist the torture inflicted on him.

Practitioner Mr. Lu Shulin from Yushu has severe high blood pressure. The doctor that diagnosed him stated that Mr. Lu could die at any time. Lu Shulin applied to go to the hospital a year ago. However, the Jilin Prison refused to release him on bail, saying that the paperwork was not complete.

Recently, the Jilin Prison authorities terminated practitioner Mr. Shi Wenzhuo's access to visitors. While at this facility, practitioners are being constantly brainwashed. Often, the torture that is being inflicted on practitioners is intensified and they are placed in a special monitoring program.

Practitioner Mr. Wu Zongrong from Jiangjin City was arrested by the National Security officials on October 18, 2006. He was taken to the Langshan Detention Center in Jiangjin. His trial is imminent. On January 27, 2007, Mr. Wu's family and two practitioners went to clarify the truth of Falun Dafa to Feng Shengping, the judge in Mr. Wu's case. Unfortunately, Feng refused to listen.

The Sanshui Women's Forced Labor Camp in Foshan, Guangdong Province, recently intensified the torture inflicted on steadfast practitioners. The authorities did not allow them to buy daily necessities or use the toilets. In order to reduce the frequency of toilet use, some practitioners reduced their food intake. The labor camp personnel prolonged the practitioners' terms at will and refused to release those who had served their terms. The authorities terminated the mail service of several practitioners and did not allow them contact with their families.

From December 11 to 18, 2006, practitioners who worked in the Mine Bureau in Panzhihua City were arrested and imprisoned by police. The practitioners included Ms. Hu Xiufen, Ms. Geng Guirong, Ms. Liu Suzhen, Ms. Nie Rongjin, Ms. Zhang (first name unknown), Ms. Wang Shukun, Ms. Zhou Shutang, and Ms. Teng Changfang. The police were from the National Security Division in the Public Security Bureau and the West District Bureau in Panzhihua City. Police officers from the Mosuohe Police Station of the West District Public Safety Bureau were also involved..

In January 2007, Ms. Wang Shukun, Ms. Zhou Shutang, and Ms. Teng Changfang were released. Ms. Hu Xiufen, Ms. Geng Guirong, Ms. Liu Suzhen, Ms. Nie Rongjin, and Ms. Zhang are still imprisoned.

Practitioners Mr. Wang Shunli and Ms. Dong Fengying conducted business in Zhangbeixin Village, Wuhan City, Anhui Province. On November 27, 2006, under orders from the Public Safety Bureau in Anhui Province and Hubei Province, the Wuhan City police arrested this married couple. They also confiscated personal computers and printers from their home.

Mr. Wang was sentenced to a year in prison and is now being tortured in the Hewan Forced Labor Camp in Gusaoshu, Wuhan City. It was rumored that Ms. Dong was released. The details are still under investigation.

Since the Nanjing City 610 Office kidnapped Ms. Duan Xiangdi two months ago, her whereabouts has been unknown. Recently it was revealed that Ms. Duan is being tortured in the Nanjing City Brainwashing Center.

When Ms. Duan was taken to the brainwashing center, she refused to get out of the car. Consequently, the Nanjing City 610 officers violently pulled this 70-year-old senior out of the car, causing severe injury to her waist. Ms. Duan is still being imprisoned and tortured in the Nanjing City Brainwashing Center.

Mr. Zheng Jinzhang, 40, is from Maoshi Town, Jianli County, Hubei Province. The local police arrested him on July 18, 2006, while he was distributing truth materials in Cixi City, Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. The police officer also went to his house and confiscated his laptop and printer. Mr. Zheng was later sentenced to eight and half years in prison and is currently imprisoned in the Fourth Prison in Yuhang District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province.

Mr. Chen Lisheng, 36, is from Maoshi Town, Jianli County, Hubei Province. In 2006, while Mr. Chen was in Cixi City, Ningbo, Zhejiang Province doing business, the local police lied to him. They said that he needed to go to the police station to get his temporary residency paperwork done. The police then forced him to write the Three Statements to renounce Falun Gong. On July 18, 2006, the police confiscated his Dafa books and materials and put Mr. Chen and his wife in prison. Mr. Chen's wife was later released but he was sentenced to three and a half years. Presently he is in the Second Prison in Yuhang District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province.

On January 21, 2007, four practitioners went to Mohu Village, Huamin Township, Longjiang County, Qiqihar City, to give out truth-clarification materials. A local resident reported them to the police and the practitioners were arrested and taken to the Huamin Township Police Station. Two of the practitioners escaped that day and the other two (with the last names Tao and Jia) are currently imprisoned in the Longjiang County Detention Center.

Police arrested practitioner Ms. Li Yanping on October 13, 2005. On January 25, 2007, the Laiyuan County Court tried the case and the county procurator lied in the trial.

Practitioner Ms. Zhao Fengyu, 35, is from Yaojia, the Ganjingzi District, Dalian City. On January 26, 2007, Ms. Zhao was arrested while delivering a letter to Du Benyou. The police searched her home frequently. Ms. Zhao is now imprisoned in the Yaojia Detention Center. Her five-year-old daughter is at home unattended.

On January 23, 2007, the Daowai District Court in Harbin deceived Chen Lei. Since he was unfamiliar with the laws and was not informed of his legal rights, the practitioner signed a ruling document. On January 25 Chen Lei was told of his four-year prison sentence. The court didn't inform his lawyer or his family. On January 31, he started a hunger strike to protest the persecution. On February 1 he appealed the ruling.

In April 2004, practitioner Mr. Du Anli was imprisoned in Room Four of the Xiaobai Building. There was a Brigade specifically designated to torture practitioners assigned to this place. Five police officers, each with two electronic batons, shocked Mr. Du twice daily for six days. The practitioner's hands were handcuffed to the bed leaving him immobilized. The police stripped Mr. Du naked and shocked him everywhere. As a result, Mr. Du sustained injuries to his entire body. The police who tortured Mr. Du are Chen Wei, Song Baishun, Guan Feng, Yu Wenbo, and others.

On January 16, 2007, four practitioners from Yakeshi Area, Inner Mongolia, were arrested and their belongings were confiscated. The practitioners are currently imprisoned in the Linye Detention Center and are not allowed to have their families visit.

On January 29, 2007, the Beiyuan Police Station in Tianqiao District arrested practitioner Ms. Yang Lihua. Ms. Yang was sent to a Brainwashing Center in Jinan City.

In the middle of the night on September 12, 2006, police arrested practitioner Ms. Lin Shuying. Ms. Lin left behind a five-year-old child and an 87- year-old mother who was bedridden. The next day Ms. Lin was transferred to the Zhaoyang Detention Center in Beijing. After a one-month stay she was sentenced to two years in prison. Recently Ms. Lin was transferred to the Sixth Brigade in the Beijing Women's Forced Labor Camp in Tiantanghe.

Over the past several years, authorities from the Street CCP Office, Residential Commission, National Security, and Police Department, often went to Ms. Lin's home to harass her and search her place.

Ms. Zhang Fengying and Ms. Xian Sushuang from the Fengnan District, Tangshan City, went to Zhaolinzhuang Village, Tangfang Town, Fengnan District, to clarify the truth on January 14, 2007. Hong Lihou, Director of the Tangfang Town Police Station, arrested them. Later the 610 Office locked them in the Fengnan District Police Station. Currently they have been transferred to the Fengnan District Detention Center.

Ms. Lang Dongyue, approximately 40 years old, is from Yanqing County, Beijing. Since the persecution began in 1999, Ms. Lang has been arrested many times. Twice Ms. Lang escaped and three times she was taken to forced labor camps. During her imprisonment of almost six years, Ms. Lang was tortured repeatedly. On January 27, 2007, while on a bus, she was arrested again and is currently in the Yanqing County Detention Center.

Practitioner Mr. Wang Jianrong from Yishui County gave out truth-clarification materials in Lijiaping Village, Huangshanpu Town, Yishui County. Wang Guoxing, the CCP Secretary of the Lijiaping Village, reported him to the police. Police from the Yishui County Public Safety Bureau arrested Mr. Wang on the morning of January 30, 2007, and put him in the Yishui County Detention Center.

In the afternoon on January 15, 2007, Li Xianyong, Deng Hongying, and Han Leling from the Chongqing Jiangbei Police Division, the Dashiba Police Station, and the Chang'an Worker's Union, broke into Ms. Wu Huahzhen's home. They arrested Ms. Wu and Ms. Zhao Chengrong and locked them in the Jiangbei District Detention Center. They also confiscated Ms. Wu's property.

After Ms. Wu's mother learned of her daughter's arrest, she became ill in the hospital and passed away on January 30, 2007.

At 9 a.m. on January 25, 2007, police from the Xingda Police Station arrested Ms. Cui Yanqiu from the Binhexiao District, Zhuanghe City, Dalian. Ms. Cui's property was confiscated immediately. Currently, she is in the Zhuanghe Detention Center.

On January 30, 2007, practitioner Ms. Liu Shuzhen from Chengshan Town, Zhuanghe City, went to the Town Hall to give out truth-clarification materials. Wen (first name unknown), Secretary of the Chengshan Town, stopped her and called the police to arrest Ms. Liu. Later, Liu Lianshi, Secretary of the Hengfeng Commission, and three policemen went to Ms. Liu's house. They confiscated her Dafa materials and other belongings. At four o'clock in the afternoon, Ms. Liu was taken to the Zhuanghe Detention Center.

Practitioner Ms. Wang Ling from Dagang Oil Field in Tianjin was arrested and sent to the Dagang District Detention Center. Ms. Wang was tortured there for seven months. On January 26, 2007, the Dagang District Court sentenced Ms. Wang to three years in a secret trial, The court did not notify Ms. Wang's family.

Practitioner Ms. Zhang Qiuzhen from the Anhuixiao District, Yantai City, was giving out truth-clarification materials on January 31, 2007. Police from the Zhifu District Public Safety Bureau arrested her.

In the afternoon on January 30, 2007, practitioner Mr. Wei Xingdu from the Jiawang District in Xuzhou City was arrested for posting truth-clarification materials. At 5:30 p.m., nine police cars with dozens of officers went to Ms. Wei's home. Mr. Wei's wife, Ms. Lu Shouhua (also a practitioner), refused to open the door. Wang (first name unknown), a deputy director from the Xuzhou City Public Safety Bureau, ordered the officers to break down the door. Zhao Rujian, head of the Jiawang District 610 Office, participated in the process. Three hours later, officers confiscated Dafa books and materials, two computers, two printers, and two paper cutters. Mr. Wei and Ms. Lu's whereabouts are unknown. Their son, Mr. Wei Feng, was taken to the Xiaqiao Police Station and tortured for a day before his grandmother took him home.

After Mr. Wei and Ms. Lu were arrested, practitioners Mr. Meng Qingquan and Mr. Zhang Changjin went to the couple's house to send righteous thoughts at 8 p.m. The police arrested them and took them to Xuzhou and tortured them for a night. The next day they were taken to the Jiawang District. Mr. Meng and Mr. Zhang were tortured and interrogated separately in Daquan and Laokuang Police Stations. That evening the two practitioners were imprisoned in the Jiawang Detention Center.

On January 31, 2007, police from the Daquan Police Station went to Mr. Meng's house to confiscate his belongings. Since Mr. Meng's family refused to open the door, the police entered the house by climbing the wall. They then confiscated a computer, a laptop, a printer, computer accessories, truth-clarification materials and Dafa books. At the same time, officers from the Laokuang Police Station went to Mr. Zhang Changjin's house and confiscated his Dafa books and truth-clarification materials.

Police arrested practitioner Ms. Wang Yuzhen, from Taoliying Village, Rengezhuang Township, Fengrun District, Tangshan City, on February 1, 2007, while she was posting Dafa truth-clarification materials. Ms. Wang is currently detained in Rengezhuang Township Hall.

At 7 p.m. on January 27, 2007, officers Li Guodong and Ye Haijun from the Public Safety Bureau of the Economic Development District in Dezhou City broke into practitioner Mr. Wang Hongchun's house in Luolizhuang, Taitousi Township, Dezhou City. The police confiscated Dafa materials and a photocopier. They also arrested Mr. Wang, his wife, and two other female practitioners. They took them to the Public Safety Bureau of the Economic Development District in Dezhou City. The four practitioners are currently in the Dezhou City Detention Center.

In December 2006, practitioner Ms. Jin Rong, approximately 40 years old, was arrested by police from the 771st Unit. They sent her to Lintong, Shanxi Province to be tortured.

Ms. Jin began practicing Falun Gong in 1998. She has been tortured many times since the persecution began. In 2002, she was taken to a brainwashing center and tortured for six months. In 2003, Ms. Jin was tortured in the Shanxi Women's Forced Labor Camp.

On May 26, 2006, Ms. Li Qi was arrested at Dianqian Village while she was giving out truth-clarification materials. Ms. Li is still imprisoned at the Xiamen Detention Center.

Ms. Li, 56, began practicing Falun Gong in 2001. Ms. Li's husband, Mr. Zhang Jiaxing, 76, began practicing Falun Gong in 1996. The couple went to Beijing in 2002 in order to appeal for justice for Falun Gong. They displayed a banner at Tiananmen Square and were arrested and sent back to Xiamen. Ms. Li was imprisoned in a forced labor camp for a year. Mr. Zhang was fined 8000 yuan and was monitored at work for a year.

From then on their employers and co-workers constantly monitored Ms. Li and Mr. Zhang. In May 2004, Mr. Zhang was arrested because a practitioner reported him to the police. He was sentenced for five years.

On February 1, 2007, the Zhangjia Garden Police Station in the Yuzhong District, Chongqing, mobilized numerous police officers to harass practitioners. The officers took all of the practitioners in the district to the station and ordered them to make depositions and have their pictures taken. The police searched some practitioners' houses. At the time of this report, Ms. Wang Ya and another practitioner were still in the station.

From 1999 to 2000, Ms. Wang went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong. As a result, she was imprisoned in a forced labor camp. She was released in November 2001 but the police arrested her again in Xiaoquan, Chongqing City, on January 2, 2002, and sentenced her to three years.

The police arrested practitioner Mr. Yang Xiaoling at work and confiscated his computer. Mr. Yang escaped en route to the police station. His wife and ten-year-old daughter were dependent on his income. Originally, Mr. Yang was the head of the Public Relations Department and later the deputy director of the Political Affairs Department for a company. After the persecution started, he wrote a letter to the head of the Chongqing City Commission to clarify the truth of Falun Dafa. He was later removed from his position and became a janitor. After being fired, he made his living by teaching guitar. In July 2006, Mr. Yang went to work in a consulting firm for the Chongqing City Construction Project until he was arrested recently.

Practitioner Mr. Chen Zhanguo, 35, is a graduate from the Chengdu University of Technology. He is from Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia, and moved to Baotou City after he graduated. In 2003, while he was in Lianyun Harbor, Mr. Chen was sentenced to seven years because of his belief in Falun Gong. He is currently in Hongzehu Prison in Jiangsu Province. In 2004, the prison guards tortured Mr. Chen because he insisted on practicing Falun Gong. He suffered a mental collapse due to the severe torture. The prison guards claimed that he was mentally ill. They sent him to the Nantong City Mental Hospital and injected him with drugs that damaged his central nervous system.

In July 1999 after the persecution started, Mr. Chen went to Beijing twice to appeal for Falun Gong. As a result, he was sent to the Baotou Forced Labor Camp where he was viciously tortured. Then, on September 18, 2000, he was sent to the Wuyuan Forced Labor Camp where he was again tortured. On March 2001, in a meeting that was meant to slander and defame Falun Gong, he refused to denounce Falun Gong. Mu Jianfeng and others handcuffed him behind his back openly at the meeting and beat him in public. Later Mr. Chen was taken to the Third Brigade in the Baotou Forced Labor Camp. The guards beat him repeatedly with plastic rods, shocked him with electric batons, and handcuffed him. Zhang Tiefeng, Head of the Management Division, tied a rope on Mr. Chen's arms and pulled him up abruptly. Chen Zhanguo suffered from excruciating pain in his shoulders as a result of this brutal torture. Officer Du Xiangyang electrically shocked Mr. Chen's abdomen until he lost control of his bowels. Due to the torture, Mr. Chen's head swelled up, his face was disfigured, and his body was covered with bruises.

In 2001, Mr. Chen went back to work after he was released from the forced labor camp. Since his employer was going to take him to a brainwashing center, Mr. Chen was forced to give up his job and he became homeless. In 2003 Chen Zhanguo was arrested in Lianyun Harbor for making truth-clarification materials and was sentenced to seven years in prison. He is now in Hongzehu Prison in Jiangsu Province.
