Do We Really Understand? -- A Few Thoughts to Share with the Audiences of the NTDTV Spectacular
By Tang Zi
(Clearwisdom.net) Vocal artists Jiang Min, Yang Jiansheng, and Bai
Xue's heartfelt and compassionate songs moved many people to tears at Radio City
Music Hall in New York City during the performance of this year's New Tang
Dynasty Chinese New Year Spectacular. When people cry, something must have
touched them - but do we really understand these songs? It is easy to feel touched by Falun Gong practitioners' compassionate
aspiration and actions, but it's not that easy to truly understand the thought
connotation the singers are trying to convey. It took me six years to progress
from "hearing" to "understanding" the music. Just as someone
commented, "These songs are beautiful and touching. I feel the songs' inner
meaning are full of compassion." Attorney Mr. Johnson said, "Truth is
truth. No government has the right to cover up the truth. For a nation, there is
always a way to address any issue as long as it is real. However, if people are
not allowed to know the truth, there is a big problem with that nation."
"I feel the programs of the Spectacular are all transmitting the truth, not
only the truth of Falun Gong practitioners being persecuted, but also the truth
of humans' origin, the truth of about life." The compassionate connotation
in the songs, and the truth about the persecution, the human origin and life
should perhaps all inspire us to learn and thus truly comprehend them. Being
touched from listening the songs is only the beginning. Let us not refuse any
longer. Falun Gong came to save us, so why do we refuse it? Soprano Jiang Min sang,
"Why Refuse," "My friend, do you remember? We all came from a high realm. Do we still remember our vow after thousands
of years of reincarnation? Falun Gong spreading far and wide is the gods
fulfilling their promise. After we have listened the songs, the deep meaning of
the words in the songs could be understood only after reflecting on them again
and again. Of course, Jiang Min could touch our hearts by calling out through poignant
lyrics and a personable style, but later on, if we don't let ourselves feel the
gods' eternal compassion and further seek and learn the truth, perhaps we would
soon again become lost in the maze of this world. Alto Yang Jiansheng sang
"Compassion," "Do you know why I speak out the truth? Why are Falun Gong practitioners compassionate? Because "the heavens
have ordained the red dragon's end / I feel called to ensure your
well-being." If Ms. Yang Jiansheng is telling the truth, shouldn't people
who have felt such compassion take quick action and find the truth? Falun Gong practitioners have been bringing us the truth for a long time, but
many have always passively refused to listen to them. "The state of the
divine is eternal compassion / Yet time will pass in a twinkling." Time
waits for no one. We can no longer passively listen to the truth. It is time for
us to find the truth. Bai Xue compassionately urged us to do so in "Finding
Truth," "So vast are heaven and earth; The connotation of this song might be very broad and profound, but the
compassion is quite obvious, which is why so many people in the audience quietly
concentrated on listening to this song. Gods are compassionate, so how can we
not take action? How do we take action, then? There are principles in the songs, but they are
hidden, and we need to uncover the principles through our own efforts. Why do
Falun Gong practitioners persistently clarify the truth? Are they
truly wronged? Why and how are they wronged? Why do they clarify the truth? Does
the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners truly have to do with us? If so, how
does it affect us? We must find the solutions to these questions through our
efforts. We must make clear the truth why millions of Falun Gong practitioners
are persecuted, the truth on the origin of human life, and the truth on the
state of human life. It's our right and responsibility to find the truth. "It's true what Falun Gong has been saying Dear friend! Do we really understand the sincerity, compassion and deep
meaning of these lyrics? |
