Mr. Xu Yongpei, age 61, is a Falun Dafa practitioner from the Shapingba District of Chongqing City. On January 6, 2007, while walking along Yangjiaping Street in the Jiulongpo District with his wife, Ms. Chen Ya (a professor from a military hospital), Mr. Xu was illegally arrested by policeman Ou Lichang of the Shapingba District Police Station, National Security sub-division, together with policemen from Xinqiao Police unit and the Political Security Department of the Xinqiao Hospital. He is now illegally detained and being brainwashed at a brainwashing center at the Wangxiangtai Resort, Lushan Village, Yubei District. His wife is under surveillance and her autonomy is being illegally restricted by her work unit.

On January 7, 2007, Dafa practitioners Ms. Lei Yingzhi, Ms. Zhang Shifen and Mr. Xong Zaoyun of Wuhan City were taken away by personnel from the No. 1 Detention Center of the Wuchang Police Station, Cong'erzhigou sub-division. They were sent to Yangyuan Brainwashing Center in the Wuchang District.

On January 19, 2007, while clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa in a hair salon in downtown Dehui City, Dafa practitioner Mr. Wang Shuming was reported and taken away by policemen from the Dehui Police Station.

On January 17, 2007 at around 9:00 a.m., two directors from the Jingyu County Police Station, together with policemen Song Xuebing and half a dozen other policemen from the Huayuan County Police Unit, illegally entered Dafa practitioner Mr. Leng Fuyun's home. They ransacked the home, took away a computer and a printer and then arrested Mr. Leng Fuyun and family members Mr. Leng Jingtao and Ms. Jiang Zhongmei. Currently, Leng Jingtao and Leng Fuyun are illegally detained at the Jingyu Detention Center. Ms. Jiang Zhongmei is detained at the Juangyuan County Detention Center.

Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhang Qingjun was illegally arrested while clarifying the truth of Falun Dafa. In November 2006, he was sentenced under false charges to a four-year prison term. Mr. Zhang is now illegally imprisoned at Jinan Prison.

Dafa practitioners in Dalian City, Ms. Chen Mei, Ms. Jiang Hongmei and Ms. Jiang Xiaoming were arrested.

On November 8, 2006, while distributing truth-clarifying material in the Dongli District, Ms. Su Guiyin, age 56, was reported by someone to the police and subsequently taken to Dongli Police Station. After being tortured in another labor camp for a year, Ms. Su is now detained at the Banqiao Women's Forced Labor Camp.

On September 8, 2006, Dafa practitioner Mr. Meng Xiangqi of Lishu County was arrested by policemen Liu Zhongping and Liu Feng of Kangping Police Station. He was falsely detained at the Lishu County Detention Center and was cruelly tortured. In October, Mr. Meng was secretly tried by the Court of Lishu County. On December 21, without his family members being notified, Mr. Meng was sentenced to a four-and-a-half-year prison term and sent to Jilin Prison for further torture.

On January 17, 2007, Dafa practitioner Ms. Wu Reifen from Wulibao, Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province was taken away from her home by officers from the Xiyao Police Unit. She is now illegally detained at the No. 2 Detention Center.

On January 19, 2007, Ms. Liu Chengyin and her son Mr. Yao Qi (in his 30s) were illegally arrested by Changning District police.

Dafa practitioner Ms. Li Hongzheng of the Changning District of Shanghai City was also arrested. She has now been detained in the Changning District Detention Center for over a month.

On the afternoon of January 19, 2007, Dafa practitioner Wang Xinbi brought along her grandson to clarify the truth in Baiyunxin Village. Someone reported her to the police. Ms. Wang was subsequently illegally arrested and her home ransacked. When Mr. Wang's daughter Ms. Yi Lu and son-in-law Mr. Sun Jinghuan went to the police station to demand the return of Ms. Wang, Ms. Yi and Mr. Sun were also illegally detained.

On January 4, 2007, while clarifying the truth at Quancheng Square in Jinan City, Dafa practitioner Ms. Chen Yin of Jinan City was illegally arrested. She is now detained at the Jinan Detention Center and is being tortured.

On December 28, 2006, the security guards of Hebei Normal College of Science and Technology illegally sent a Dafa practitioner, who was distributing truth-clarification materials, to the police station. Now the college is sending a newsletter to all college students slandering Falun Gong and the founder of Falun Gong, using extremely vicious language and false allegations.

After the arrest of Shandong Liaocheng Dafa practitioner Ms. Cheng Yufang, another Dafa practitioner, Ms. Qing, was illegally arrested from her home by Liangshui Township Police Unit of Liaocheng City.
