(Clearwisdom.net) In early December 2006, a car hit Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Yang Yudong, 65, of Jiuzhai Town, Mengyin County, Shandong Province. Someone called Tanbu Hospital for an ambulance, and, although Mr. Yang assured everyone at the scene that he was okay, the medics insisted on taking him to the hospital. On the surface it appears that the caller and the medics were people with good hearts who just wanted to help, but there's more to the story.

A few days later, the caller went to the hospital to claim his "commission fee," because whoever sends a patient to the hospital is paid 50 yuan, and this business is done in secret. In the Chinese Communist Party's regime, hospitals don't reward people for calling and saving lives, rather, hospitals let patients die without treatment if they don't have money. Tanbu Hospital gave the caller money only because he brought them business, and they could get money from Mr. Yang.

Very soon, however, the hospital staff found out that Mr. Yang didn't have a penny to pay for the ambulance, not to mention the medical treatment. The hospital staff became angry. They searched Mr. Yang and discovered some Falun Gong truth-clarification materials, and thought of a way to express their anger. They called the police right away and handcuffed Mr. Yang to the hospital bed, turning the hospital into a temporary prison. Kind treatment in the ambulance was replaced with evil looks and cold handcuffs.

Mr. Yang was arrested and taken to the brainwashing center in Linyi City to be tortured. Soon after, he was illegally sentenced to three years of imprisonment in a forced labor camp. After being hit by a car, the old man received no treatment for his wounds and then was subjected to persecution and torture. This is how people are treated during what the CCP claims to be "The best time for human rights in China."

Because they couldn't get any money from Mr. Yang, the Tanfu Hospital staff members quickly switched from being helpful to being harmful, abandoning the moral and professional obligation of doctors to save people and "do no harm." Mr. Yang was sent to the brainwashing center despite his advanced age and having just been in a car accident. The hospital staff members seem to be lacking even a basic human conscience.
