(Clearwisdom.net) Chinese New Year is a time when family members all get together, a chance to spend time with relatives and friends. During this period of time, Master arranged for all the people with predestined relationships to come to us, and created this chance for us to clarify the truth.
On the morning of December 28 of the lunar calender, my nephew brought a gift for my mother. As soon as he stepped in the door, he said to her, "Grandma, you look so good. Your face is radiant." My mother replied happily, "It's because Dafa brought me happiness."
He told us that his wife is pregnant. My mother told him, "Take good care of her." At the same time, she took out two Dafa amulets from her pocket and said, "Have your wife wear these in order to protect her and the baby." My nephew accepted them and said, "I was looking for amulets! I had several nightmares recently. I felt a black shadow press on me and I couldn't breathe. I wanted to hit it but I couldn't reach it." My mother said, "Then you should also wear one. Dafa amulets have power."
Then, my mother asked him, "Have you resigned from Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations?" He asked, "What do you mean "resign from the CCP?" After my mother explained the reasons to him in detail, he understood and said, "I agree. I met Falun Gong practitioners when I studied in Japan. I've even read Falun Gong books. I realize that Falun Gong helps people behave well. After I came back from Japan, I told my classmates that Falun Gong was legal all over the world except for China. People practice it in public. I also told them that if they don't understand it, they shouldn't say irresponsible words. I had a stomach disease when I was in Japan, and I often feel pain in my stomach. Grandma, can I cure it by practicing Falun Gong?" My mother said, "How many diseases did I have before practicing Falun Gong? They are all cured now. Look at your aunts, all of them are healthy after practicing Falun Gong. My Grandson, start it soon." He said, "I have the Falun Gong book. After I go back home, I will read it in detail."
We have another relative who is seventy-three years old. We have not seen each other for many years. He came back to his hometown for Chinese New Year. One evening, he came to my home and was surprised to find that my mother, my sister-in-law and I were all carrying mp3 players. He said happily, "You guys are very modern!" I said to him, "Uncle, you listen." Then, I took off my mp3 player and gave it to him. He listened to it for a while and said, "It is very pleasant to hear. It sounds like music played in an ancient palace." I said, "This is Falun Dafa music, PuDu. Listen to something else." I played Master's lectures for him. He sat on the couch, holding the mp3 player in his right hand, and stayed in the same position while he focused on listening to the lectures for one and a half hours. All the children left the room to play elsewhere.
After he finished listening to the first lecture, he said, "It really make sense. It's time to redress Falun Gong." I said to him, "Uncle, if you like it, I can give the mp3 player to you. This gift is better than any other things. You can listen to it at home." He said, "Ordinary people could not get it. It's very convenient. I can listen to it while taking a walk." At the same time, he put the mp3 in his pocket. My mother also told him something and he left happily.
My sister and I went to buy a new mp3 player. I have purchased many mp3 players from the same store. The store owner and I were already acquainted with each other, and he said, "I can install the music files for you. I have the files for lectures in Guangzhou, Jinan, and Dalian, exercise music, practitioners' songs, and nine commentaries. You just choose whatever you want." I was very happy to hear this. Before I had to take the MP3 player back home and install the files myself. Now, the store owner would install them for me. A lot of people have already understood the truth. At the same time, a middle-aged man who looked like a farmer stood next to us. He was waiting for the installation of Teacher's "lectures in Guangzhou"! I smiled at him, "You and I are the same!"
My sister and I went to the counter that sold silk handkerchiefs. While choosing handkerchiefs, we asked the young man in charge, "Have you heard of "quitting the party to ensure your safety? Have you quit the CCP?" He smiled and said, "I've heard of it and already quit. Thank you very much."
While we were leaving the shopping center, my sister said, "I just had a bad idea. I wanted to shoplift some silk handkerchiefs. How could I have this kind of idea?" I replied immediately, "The thought does not come from your true self. You have to reject it. Your true self is benign and would never have this kind of idea. Sometimes, similar thoughts come to me. I am over fifty years old, yet sometimes when I see an attractive woman, my improper thoughts still surface. After rejecting the thoughts several times, they would still come back. I am ashamed to tell other people. I've read Master's lectures and realized that this is the manifestation of my demon-nature. Cultivation practice is to eliminate your demon-nature and strengthen your Buddha-nature. If any evil thoughts come up in the future, I will eliminate them with righteous thoughts."
While other family members were watching the CCP's "Chinese New Year Gala" on CCTV, my mother and I stayed in another room to study the Fa. When one sketch started, my ten-year-old niece asked everybody come to watch it. Some sections made everybody laugh. After the sketch, I asked my niece, "Other than laughing, did you get anything? What did the sketch teach you?" My clever niece said, "Lying." I said, "Yes, it taught you how to tell lies from the beginning to end. We cannot learn from it." My niece nodded her head.
On New Year's Day, I went to another relative's home to offer New Year's greetings. I saw that pictures of Mao and Zhou, former leaders of the evil CCP, were hanging in the taxi. I sent forth righteous thoughts and said to the driver, "Why still hang these dead people's pictures? They are neither God nor Buddha. They did many bad things." The driver suddenly realized and said, "You are right, then what can I hang?" At that moment, I felt bad about not bringing any amulets with me. I told him, "If anybody gives you an amulet in the future, hang it up. Have you ever heard of 'quitting the party to ensure your safety?'" I clarified the truth to him during the five-minute trip.
The driver replied to my question without a second thought, "Quit? All four members of my family would like to quit. My last name is Lu. I am fortunate to have met you, since you sent a message of safety to me on the first day of the year. I will be lucky for the entire year." When we arrived at my destination, I asked him to tell all his family members. The driver said "thank you" three times to me.
My mother went to her brother's home to offer New Year's greetings and met his granddaughter who was studying in graduate school. My mother thought, "She will probably graduate soon and start to work. Then, she won't be able to come back home so often. I must tell her the truth right away." My mother sent forth righteous thoughts for her first. She had not expected that her granddaughter had a very strong predestined relationship. She not only decided to quit the CCP, but also wanted to read the Falun Gong books, since she had already read several truth clarifying materials before and understood them. Unfortunately, we didn't have any more books to give her. She said, "I can read the books through my computer." My mother told her, "Talk to your aunt, she is very capable with computers." My mother brought her back home. We decided to send Freegate software to her email account, so she could use it at school. While she was sending the software, I realized that I had wanted to send Freegate (software to break through the CCP's Internet blockade) to another practitioner recently, but I did not know how to do it. She showed me how to do it, but since I had not transferred software before, I could not perform the task. Merciful Master ingeniously arranged for everything to work just right.
While I memorizing the Fa over the past several days, I could not help shedding tears. I cannot explain what my feeling was, but I know that Master is encouraging disciples to do the three things well.
Master's new article "My Thanks to Sentient Beings Who Have Sent Greetings" is really a Fa lecture to ordinary people. With the changing of the cosmic climate, if we really believe in Master and Dafa, and do the three things wholeheartedly, Master will arrange everything for us. We have to study the Fa well, do the three things well, reach consummation and follow Master back home.
