Cases of Torture of Falun Dafa Practitioners from Huaiyang County, Henan Province
(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa spread to Huaiyang County (called
Chenzhou in ancient times), Henan Province in 1995. Within a few years, more
than thirty thousand people obtained the Fa and over one million people
benefited from the Fa directly or indirectly. Since July 1999, the evil spirit of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and
Jiang Zemin ganged up in persecuting Falun Gong using the whole nation's
resources. This report is a collection of several cases of how Dafa
practitioners from Huaiyang County were tortured, in order to let people
understand the evil nature of the CCP, choose the right course of action and
appeal for the just, and to select a wonderful future for themselves. Practitioner Ms. Wang Chunling Sentenced to Ten Years in Prison Ms. Wang Chunling, 45, was a cadre of the labor union of the Huaiyang County
Cotton Mill. After the CCP started persecuting Falun Dafa, Ms. Wang Chunling and
several other practitioners went to the Huaiyang County Party Committee to
validate Dafa on July 22, 1999. They were arrested and locked in the Chengguan
Town Police Station for a week. In November 1999, Ms. Wang Chunling went to the Beijing Appeals Office to
appeal for Falun Gong. She was arrested and sent back to Huaiyang County
Detention Center. There she was forced to do intensive labor and denied sleep if
she did not complete her work. She had little to eat and was frequently insulted
and beaten. To rescue her, her family had to borrow money to buy a luxury suit
for Deputy Director of the National Security Team of Huaiyang County Police
Department Zhao Min and Deputy Political Commissar of the Huaiyang County Police
Department Ren Wei. They also bought expensive gifts for policemen Zhao Jishan,
Chen Jiachang and Geng Shouling and paid four thousand yuan as a
fine. After she returned home, she was frequently disturbed by the police. Once she
was deceived by the police into going to the police station. Once she got there,
she was arrested and thrown into the Huaiyang County Detention Center. Her
family could not borrow any more money to bribe the police, so she was detained
there for four months. Then her family was asked to pay two thousand yuan. Once
they did that, she was released. After she went home, the police frequently disturbed her at her home. She had
no choice but to leave home and go into hiding. Sh never went home or contacted
her family after that. In November 2000, the police broke into her home and
ransacked the house. Her son, 13, cursed the police once when they awoke him. He
was then arrested and locked in the detention center with only his underwear on
for a whole night. The police also frequently monitored her parents and in-laws. Ms. Wang Chunling kept validating Dafa when she was in hiding. She was
arrested at Taikang County, Henan Province in 2003 and sentenced to ten years in
prison. She was taken to and brutally tortured in the Xinxiang City Women's
Prison, Henan Province. Practitioner Ms. Liu Xia Tortured by the Police Ms. Liu Xia, about 30, is a practitioner from the Xiazhuang Administrative
Village, Chengguan Town, Huaiyang County. She was arrested and detained in
Beijing for seven days after going to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong in
November 2001. She tried to clarify the truth to the staff at the
Henan Province Beijing Office, but they refused to listen to her. One person
there taped her mouth closed. She was later taken back to Huaiyang County by
police and locked at the Huaiyang County Detention Center. During interrogation, Guard Wu Jinzhong tied her hands to her back with a
rope and grabbed her hair to knock her head against the wall. When Ms. Liu held
a hunger strike to protest, guard Li Degong beat her with a belt made with iron
rings. Even when she was in critical condition, guard Shi Zhongjie put her in a
"straight jacket," a torture instrument with long sleeves to tie the
victim's arms She was bent and tied up in four folds (lower leg, upper leg, back
and arms), not able to sit, stand, sleep, or go to the bathroom. Doctor Zhang
Duoshu force-fed her many times. He forcibly inserted a feeding tube into her
stomach and also carried her in the air and then threw her to the ground. She
was whipped for over 40 days. Only until she was near death was her family
informed and allowed to to take her home. At midnight on October 30, 2002, more than a dozen policemen broke into Ms.
Liu's home. Without any arrest warrant, they dragged her and her father from
their beds, carried them out, and put them into police cars. They were not
allowed to put on clothes. Policemen Zhao Jishan, Li Changfeng, Geng Shouling,
Ren Yulin, Zhang Junmei, Zhao Min, Wu Shengli and several others were present.
Ms. Liu Xia and her father were taken directly to prison. There, Ms. Liu recited
Teacher's Fa lecture. Wardens put handcuffs and shackles on her and tied her
hands and feet together. She was not allowed to sleep at night. She held a
hunger strike for over 40 days. When she had almost no pulse or blood pressure,
the police took her to the emergency room of the Huaiyang County Hospital and
let her parents take her home. On February 15, 2003, Ms. Liu was arrested at a material center at Dancheng
City, Henan Province. She was beaten and kicked by the arreseting police. At the
Dancheng City Detention Center, she held a hunger strike to protest. A guard
used a chopstick to pry her mouth open for force-feeding. After being tortured
for ten months there, she was sentenced to seven years in prison and taken to
the Xinxiang City Women's Prison, Henan Province. At the Xinxiang City Women's Prison, Ms. Liu was watched by inmates and
wardens around the clock. She was deprived of sleep and forced to stand and
attend brainwashing sessions. Practitioner Ms. Lu Guiying Sent to Forced Labor Camp Around 7 a.m. on April 29, 2006, practitioner Ms. Lu Guiying from Luji
Administrative Village, Lutai Town, Huaiyang County, was followed by a policeman
in plainclothes on her way home. She was later arrested by several policemen,
including Wang Shimin and Liu Huachun from the Lutai Town Police Station. She
was put into the Huaiyang County Detention Center and later sentenced to one
year of forced labor without any legal proceedings. She was taken to the
Zhengzhou City Shibalihe Women's Forced Labor Camp, Henan Province on June 29,
2006. Practitioner Ms. Su Yujing Brutally Tortured and Imprisoned (A detailed report of the torture of practitioner Ms. Su Yujin's in 2005 can
be found on the clearwisdom website at: http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2005/9/14/64894.html.) At 10 a.m. on September 15, 2001, practitioner Ms. Su Yujing from
Chenxinzhuang, Zhaozhai Administrative Village, Dalian Township, Huaiyang
County, and another practitioner were arrested by people from the Wandian
Township Comprehensive Management Office. The two were distributing
truth-clarification materials. They were taken to the Wandian Township Police
Station. Director of the Wandian Township Police Station Zheng Xianfang tied the other
practitioner with a rope and ordered policemen to pull her in the air by the
rope and then drop her to the ground. Zheng Xianfang also brutally beat Ms. Su
Yujing. He then took them to the Huaiyang County 610 Office, where
they were handcuffed and interrogated. That evening they were put in the
Huaiyang County Detention Center. Guards Wang Quandong and Wu Jinzhong fiercely
slapped Ms. Su's face. The next day, guard Wang Quandong told her to go to the
Guard Office. Director of the Detention Center Zheng Xianjun hit her face
violently and repeatedly. She was unconscious. When she woke up, guards put a
torture vest and shackles that were only for executed criminals on her for a
week. Ms. Su held a hunger strike for 23 days. Doctor Zhang Duoshu force-fed her
four times. When Ms. Su refused to cooperate, Zhang Duoshu inserted the feeding
tube through her nose more than ten times. They also tied her to a chair and
used needles to prick her head, feet, hands and arms. When she was in critical
condition, Zhang Xianjun said, "Don't be afraid if she dies. Just throw her
body into a ditch and report her as a suicide. Don't let her go as long as she
can still breathe." Guard Cheng Sigui used a thin bamboo stick to whip her
hands, causing her great pain. At 10 a.m. on January 5, 2005, when Ms. Su rode a bicycle passing
Xiaoshizhuang Village, Dalian Township, a policeman from the Dalian Township
Police Station pointed a gun at her head and took her to the police station.
Then the policemen took out a few cassette tapes and CDs from their own office
and claimed that they found those on her. She was then put into the Huaiyang
County Detention Center. She refused to cooperate with the interrogation at the
detention center. She held a hunger strike for 26 days. Guard Wang Quandong
threatened not to release her. Policemen also ransacked her home twice when she
was at the detention center. The Huaiyang County 610 Office and the National Security Team took Ms. Su to
the court twice. Judge Fang Roufei from the Huaiyang County Court sentenced her
to six years in prison. Practitioner Ms. Dou Zhonglan Sentenced to One Year of Forced Labor Practitioner Ms. Dou Zhonglan, 54, lives at the Chenzhuang, Luji
Administrative Village, Lutai Town. In 2000, she was put in the Huaiyang County
Detention Center for three months for going to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong.
She was arrested by police from the Lutai Town Police Station in March 2002 and
put into the detention center for another three months. In 2004, she was put
into the detention center again and later taken to the Zhengzhou City Shibalihe
Women's Forced Labor Camp for one year of forced labor. Practitioner Ms. Shi Fenglan Illegally Sentenced to Forced Labor Ms. Shi Fenglan is a practitioner from Fengtang Township, Huaiyang City. At
10 p.m. on February 21, 2003, four or five policemen broke into her home. They
ransacked her home and took away a tape recorder and a copy of Zhuan
Falun. She was carried by a fourth into a police car. She was taken to
the Fengtang Township Police Station that night, and then to the Huaiyang County
Detention Center the next day. On June 24, the police from the National Security
Team of the Huaiyang County Police Department took her to the Zhengzhou City
Shibalihe Women's Forced Labor Camp. The SARS epidemic was at its peak at that
time and the forced labor camp refused to accept her. Then, on July 1, they
tried to send her to either Xuchang City, Henan Province, or Zhengzhou City for
imprisonment. Again, she was rejected. On August 13, 2003, the Zhengzhou City
Shibalihe Women's Forced Labor Camp took her in for two years of forced labor. At the forced labor camp, Ms. Shi Fenglan was forced to do intensive slave
labor and listen to lies slandering Dafa. She was monitored, harassed, and
beaten. Practitioner Mr. Li Chao Arrested Three Times Mr. Li Chao, 45, has been illegally arrested and imprisoned three
times at the Huaiyang County Detention Center for a total of one 152 days and
robbed of 25 thousand yuan. The first time he was arrested when he was on his way to work. The guards of
the detention center extorted five thousand yuan from his family. The second
time he was arrested when he was on his way to the market. He was imprisoned at
the detention center for more than 80 days. His family gave policemen Ren Wei
and Geng Shouling each two thousand yuan and also bought several dinners for
other policemen. The third time he was arrested at his home. His family had more
than ten thousand yuan (three thousand for Zhang Xianfang, four thousand for Li
Changfeng and one thousand for Chang Yijun) extorted from them. At the detention
center, Mr. Li Chao was forced to carry out intensive slave labor. He was
frequently verbally abused or beaten by the guards or other inmates. When he was
released, he was so weak that he could barely walk. Practitioner Ms. Zhu Zhenying Imprisoned Mrs. Zhu Zhenying and her husband started to learn Falun Gong in December
1996. In three days, Mrs. Zhu Zhenying's illnesses that had bothered her for
many years were all gone. On October 4, 1999, Mrs. Zhu Zhenying and her husband went to the county
government to appeal for Falun Gong. Police arrested them along with four other
appealers and put them in the detention center. Practitioners at the detention
center did the Falun Gong exercises. Zheng Xianjun punished them by forcing them
to stand against the wall for a whole night. Practitioners continued doing the
exercises. Zheng Xianjun put shackles weighing several dozen pounds on them for
15 days. Afterwards, Guard Zhang Bao'an forced the practitioners to do intense
labor. The practitioners refused. Zhang Bao'an cursed and beat them, then put
the shackles on them again. Once the practitioners read Zhuan Falun in their cell. Zheng Xianjun
came, found the book, and took it away. Practitioner Ms. Wei Sufang asked him to
return the book. He then tied Ms. Wei Sufang with a rope and put the shackles
and "straight jacket" on her. Ms. Zhu Zhenying was imprisoned eight months before she was released. Five
months after, she was illegally put into the detention center again for four
months. At 8 p.m. on July 23, 2003, policemen Li Changfeng and Zhang Rui from the
Huaiyang County National Security Team, Wang Shimin and Liu Huachun from a
police station, and two other people ransacked Ms. Liu Zhenying's home. They
took away Dafa books, a miner's light, and 80 yuan. They carried her into their
police car by force. When she shouted, "Falun Dafa is Good," Zhang Rui
slapped on her face and knocked a tooth out. She was able to escape from the
detention center via righteous thoughts after being imprisoned there for 16
days. Practitioner Ms. Xu Xuelan Arrested Five Times Practitioner Ms. Xu Xuelan was arrested five times for appealing for Dafa and
exposing the evil. At 5 p.m. on October 10, 2000, four policemen broke into Ms. Xu's home. They
took her Dafa books and tapes. Policeman her slapped her face fiercely with a
Dafa book. She was imprisoned at the detention center for 41 days. She did
exercises and policeman Cheng put the shackles on her for three days. Losing her
care, her husband who ha,d cerebral thrombus, died shortly thereafter. One night in May 2001, four or five policemen broke into her home again. They
arrested her without any arrest warrant. She was imprisoned for seven months and
20 days. On the night of December 29, 2002, the entire police department from the
Fengtang Township Police Station went to her home. Without showing any warrant,
they ransacked her home, took away Dafa books, and dragged her into a police
car. She was imprisoned at the detention center for 45 days. After she held a
hunger strike for 15 days, she was released. One night in early July 2003, five or six policemen broke into her home and
arrested her again. The next morning the police called her family to the
Fengtang Township Police Station, asking for three thousand yuan. Her family did
not have money. Several policemen then ransacked her family's home, taking away
a TV set, a camcorder, and a VCR. They put her in the detention center. She held
a hunger strike for a month and three days. The police were afraid for her
health and released her. The National Security Team illegally fined her family
one thousand yuan and the detention center extorted one hundred yuan as a
"meal fee." At 5 p.m. on November 26, 2003, she was arrested at her home and taken to the
detention center again. Three days later she was sent to the Zhengzhou City
Shibalihe Women's Forced Labor Camp. She was tortured by being forced to sit on
a small stool and endure many other brutal and villainous methods. She was
imprisoned there for two years. Her legs became numb and her back was very
stiff. She has still not recovered. Practitioner Ms. Cao Baomei Arrested Twice After Ms. Cao Baomei from Chengguan Town, Huaiyang County, obtained the Fa in
1997, her illnesses were gone. Many of her relatives, friends and neighbors
witnessed the miracle of Dafa. After Jiang Zemin's group started persecuting Falun Gong, Ms. Cao exposed the
CCP's lies to the public and told them the truth about Dafa. Around 2 p.m. on
October 20, 2001, police from the National Security Team of the Huaiyang County
Police Department and Chengguan Town Police Station, including policemen Zhao
Min, Chen Jiachang, Zhang Junmei, Geng Shouling, Li Changfeng and three more
ransacked her home. They took her Dafa books and exercise tapes. They took her
to the county police department for interrogation. Around 7 p.m., she was taken
to the detention center. Guard Zheng Zihua illegally searched her and pocketed
her 470 yuan. To get her out, her family spent 6200 yuan to pay policemen Ren Wei, Zhao
Min, Cheng Sigui, etc. The National Security Team fined her another 4000 yuan
when she was released. Zhao Min said, "Others pay 2000, she has to pay
4000." Ms. Cao Baomei was put in handcuffs and foot shackles at the detention
center. The meal was only half-cooked and not nearly enough. She was frequently
disturbed during her sleep and watched by inmates around the clock. From her
arrest to her release in December 2001, her family spent 11,670 yuan. Around midnight on October 29, 2002, policemen Zhao Min, Zhao Jishan, Zhang
Junmei, Geng Shouling and Li Changfeng broke into her home and arrested her. She
was taken to the detention center. She asked why she was being arrested Geng
Shouling said, "Because you are out on bail awaiting trial, we can arrest
you any time we want to." The long period of terror made her husband very
sick and he was taken to the hospital. Her parents, both over 80, kept crying at
home. The National Security Team extorted 1500 yuan from her family and the
detention center extorted 300 yuan before releasing her. Practitioner Ms. Jia Hong Frequently Imprisoned and Her Family Broken Apart Practitioner Ms. Jia Hong, who lives in Chengbei Town, Huaiyang County, was
arrested by the Beijing police when she went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa in
1999. She was taken back to the Huaiyang County Detention Center and imprisoned
there for eight months. She was beaten brutally many times. She held a hunger
strike to protest. After her family spent about 10,000 yuan, she, extremely
skinny by then, was released. Afraid of being implicated themselves, her
parents-in-law and her husband restricted her freedom and watched her closely.
Her husband often verbally abused and beat her. Around 9 p.m. on March 22, 2003,
the police went to her home, trying to arrest her. She was able to escape with
righteous thoughts and went into hiding. In 2004, Ms. Jia Hong was arrested by the police in Dancheng City. She was
tortured cruelly at the Dancheng City Detention Center. She held a hunger strike
for 80 days. Her family was notified to take her home when she was near death.
Due to the CCP's violence and lies, her husband did not want to take her home.
Instead, he asked to divorce her. She refused. But her husband bribed the police
and the police told the court to approve the divorce. Finally her own parents
were able to take her home. At that time she weighed less than 50 pounds. She
could barely walk even after a month of rest at home. When she heard that her
ex-husband was to get married, she went home to see her two daughters and told
him that she had not agreed to their divorce. Her husband pushed her out the
door and reported her to the police. She was arrested and put into the detention
center again. There she held a hunger strike for 40 days and became so weak that
she could not even move. However, the court sentenced her to five years in
prison and sent her to the Xinxiang City Women's Prison. The prison refused to
accept her. Huaiyang police then bribed the prison to accept her. She is
currently in prison. Practitioner Ms. Chen Li's Entire Family Laid Off Ms. Chen Li, 64, worked at the Huaiyang County Chinese Medicine Hospital. She
went to Beijing to validate Dafa in July 2000 and was arrested and detained at
the Beijing Xicheng District Detention Center. After holding a hunger strike for
eight days, she was taken back to Huaiyang County Detention Center. There she
was tortured for more than a month before being released. All her family
members, a total of four people, were working at the Huaiyang County Chinese
Medicine Hospital. They were all laid off by the hospital after the Huaiyang
County Political and Legal Committee pressured the hospital. Her family was also
fined 10,000 yuan. In 2001, Ms. Chen Li was reported to police when distributing
truth-clarification materials in Qilao Township, Huaiyang County. One day on her
way to pick up her grandson, she was arrested and then detained at the detention
center for more than a month. Practitioner Mr. Lei Defa Sentenced to Seven Years in Prison Practitioner Mr. Lei Defa was the Section Chief of the Human Resources
Section in the Huaiyang County Spinning Factory. His wife struggled with several
diseases for many years. At the end of 1995, he asked her to go to a Falun Gong
exercise center. A few days later, her illnesses were all gone, so he started
cultivation as well. After Dafa first started being persecuted, Mr. Lei Defa went to Beijing to
appeal for Falun Gong and was detained for several months. He was beaten by
policeman Li Hengxin from Zhoukou City National Security Team, Henan Province,
and other policemen from Huaiyang County National Security Team and Detention
Center. On March 18, 2003, he was arrested and sentenced to seven years in
prison for writing Dafa truth-clarification slogans on the street. The court
sentenced him right before the October 1st long vacation (the offices are closed
for seven days), so that his family lost the effective time to appeal the court
decision. Torture in the Xinxiang City Prison caused Mr. Lei Defa to become severely
sick, so the prison released him on compassionate medical leave. But the local
police kept going to his home to harass him. Practitioner Ms. Liu Jinfang Tortured Brutally and Sentenced to 15 Years in
Prison Practitioner Ms. Liu Jinfang from Yangzhuang Administrative Village, Songji
Town, Huaiyang County, has been frequently disturbed and harassed at her home by
Director of Songji Town Police Station Wang Wanzhong and other policemen. At
noon on March 29, 2000, two policemen deceived her into going to the police
station and then arrested her. They asked her husband for 5,000 yuan, but her
husband had been sick for many years and her family did not have any money. When
he brought the 700 yuan that he was able to borrow to the police station, he was
pushed downstairs and threatened by police officer Lei Chong, "If you don't
get all the money quickly, she will be sent to a forced labor camp." The
next day, her husband gathered 1,000 yuan. After begging the police many times,
Ms. Liu Jinfang was released. On January 30, 2001, Wang Wanzhong tried to deceive Ms. Liu Jinfang into
going to the police station, but Ms. Liu was able to escape. She had no choice
but to leave her three-year-old daughter and go into hiding. Many policemen,
including Ren Wei, Zhao Min and Chen Jiachang from the Huaiyang County Police
Department and Wang Wanzhong, frequently went to her home to threaten her
family. They also searched all her relatives' homes. Her sister was arrested and
imprisoned for nine days. She was then released after having over 1,000 yuan
extorted from her. Ms. Liu Jinfang exposed the evil and validated Dafa in Xiangcheng City, Henan
Province, when she was hiding. She was arrested by the police on October 15,
2001. On April 17, 2003, she was sentenced to 15 years in prison and deprived of
her political rights for five years. After being arrested, she went through many
tortures: Having her feet burned by a cigarette, having bamboo sticks pressed
under the tips of her fingernails, being hung up with her hands cuffed behind
her back, being fed unknown medicine, being carried in the air and then slammed
to the ground, and being beaten with a bamboo board or leather belt. Around
November 7, 2003, the Xiangcheng City Detention Center tortured all Dafa
practitioners again. The guards wrapped heavy guage wire alongside the belt and
whipped every practitioner 100 times. Practitioners' hair, pieces of their
clothes, and blood were flying in the air, and several inmates watching the
beatings cried. The police from the National Security Team of the Xiangcheng City Police
Department took Ms. Liu Jinfang to their secret room for interrogation. They
used the belt wrapped with wire to whip her for a long time. They did not stop
even when the belt broke. Ms. Liu asked to go to the bathroom, but they did not
let her go so she had to soil herself. However, she did not bow to the severe
beating. The police then pressed toothpicks into the tip of all her fingernails.
She lost consciousness due to the severe pain several times. The police poured
cold water on her to wake her up so that they could continue the torture. Practitioner Mr. Lei Zhongchang Sent to Forced Labor Camp Twice Mr. Lei Zhongchang is a practitioner from Xinzhan Township, Huaiyang County.
He was put in a forced labor camp for two years for going to Beijing to validate
Dafa in October 1999. At 4 a.m. on April 10, 2005, six or seven policemen from Xinzhan Township
Police Station broke into Mr. Lei's home. They ransacked the home and took away
a copy of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and CDs of Dafa
music Pu-du and Ji-shi. They carried him into the police car by force. He was
then sent to the detention center. There, Mr. Lei clarified the truth to people
and refused to comply with the officials' orders, such as wearing an inmate's
uniform or performing hard labor. He held a hunger strike for 27 days. He kept
doing the exercises and sending forth righteous thoughts. On the eighth or ninth
day of his hunger strike, Doctor Zhang Duoshu and others started force-feeding
him. They used a metal rod to pry his mouth open, breaking several teeth and
causing blood to pour out of his mouth. Once when Mr. Lei was sending forth
righteous thoughts, Zheng Xianjun pulled his legs apart and slapped his face
several times. On June 10, 2005, Mr. Lei was sent to Xuchang City Forced Labor Camp. Practitioner Ms. Wang Guijin's Nine-Month-Old Unborn Baby Killed The complete story of the torture of Ms. Wang Guijin was reported on July 29,

Lutai Township, practice Falun Dafa and have benefited a great deal from Dafa. On October 3, 2000, 18 practitioners, including Mrs. Wang and Mr. Song
Zhenling, went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa. They were intercepted by staff
from the Huaiyang County 610 Office and policemen from Lutai Township Police
Station. The next day, eight practitioners, including Mrs. Wang and Mr. Song ,
went through another way to get to Tiananmen Square. There they were arrested
and taken to the Qianmen Police Station. Deputy Political Commissar of Huaiyang
County Police Department Ren Wei and Director of Lutai Township Police Station
used ropes to tied them up and take them to the Huaiyang County Beijing Office,
where they were interrogated, beaten and tortured. Deputy Head of the Huaiyang
County National Security Team Wu Shengli and Director of the Lutai Township
Police Station forced Ms. Wang to kneel on the floor for a long time when they
were interrogating her. They beat and kicked her, slapped her face, and pulled
her hair. Some of her hair was pulled out and her face swelled. When Ren Wei
interrogated Mr. Song and Mrs. Wang, he tied them tightly, then cuffed their
arms behind their backs and kept beating them. During the second interrogation,
Ren Wei took off his shoes to slap Mr. Song's face. Ren Wei also pocketed their
money and did not feed them. When they were taken back to Huaiyang County on
October 7, Ren Wei and other policemen Chen Jiachang, Geng Shouling and Zhao Min
used torture instruments to try to force them to "confess." Mr. Song's
back was bleeding after being tied up so tightly. Ren Wei took his leather shoes
off to slap Mr. Song's face again. He kept slapping him until he was tired. Geng
Shouling also beat Mrs. Wang brutally when interrogating her. Mrs. Wang was then taken to the Huaiyang County Detention Center. They put
shackles on her. Later she and Mr. Song were "transformed" by force at
the Huaiyang County Brainwashing Center and released. In April 2001, the police tried to arrest Mrs. Wang. She had to leave home
and go into hiding. Policemen from the Lutai Township Police Station frequently
visited her home to harass her mother-in-law. They would break into the house at
night and use flashlights to look everywhere, leaving Mrs. Wang's mother-in-law
shaking with fear. On November 12, 2001, Mrs. Wang Guijin and her husband were arrested when
they were producing truth-clarification materials in their rented apartment.
They were beaten so brutally by the police that it took a week for Mrs. Wang's
swollen face to recover. They were then put into a detention center, where they
were tortured during interrogation. Both of them held hunger strikes to protest.
Two weeks after their hunger strike, Zheng Xianjun and Li Zhaosheng told Doctor
Zhang Duoshu to force-feed Ms. Wang. Zhang Duoshu inserted a bamboo tube into
her throat to force-feed her. Zheng Xianjun used a sharp tool to pry Mr. Song's
mouth open. His mouth was bleeding heavily. Zheng Xianjun also used a thin
bamboo stick to hit his fingers and toes, which was extremely painful. Mrs. Wang
and Mr. Song were released after they went on a hunger strike for 29 days and
were in critical condition. Policemen Ren Wei and Geng Shouling extorted 4,000
yuan from their famil. In February 2004, Mrs. Wang Guijin, Mr. Song Zhenling and their son were
arrested in Dancheng City. Policemen Zhao Jishan, Wang Quandong and Xu Jun from
Huaiyang Police Department beat them and tore Mrs. Wang's mouth when taking them
back to Huaiyang. Mrs. Wang and Mr. Song held a hunger strike at the Huaiyang County Detention
Center. Zheng Xianjun ordered force-feeding again. Doctor Zhang Duoshu found
Mrs. Wang was pregnant. The Huaiyang County 610 Office then let her go home
subject to residential surveillance. On April 11, 2004, police from Lutai Township Police Station went to her
mother's home to arrest Mrs. Wang Guijin. They went there several times but did
not find her. Her third brother called her to warn her to "be
careful." The police monitored the phone call and arrested him. They
extorted 6,000 yuan from him for bail. Her father was sentenced one year in
prison for the "crime of concealing criminals." She was arrested on
May 1, 2004, but since the law prohibits imprisonment of pregnant women, she was
again allowed to go home subject to residential surveillance. On July 19, 2004, Head of the National Security Team Chang Yijun ordered
Lutai Township Police Station to take her to the Huaiyang Birth Control Center.
They told her to sign an agreement for an abortion. She refused. At 2 p.m. the
next day, eight evildoers, including Song Duohai, Li Guang and Liang, held her
down and did the abortion by force. The almost-nine-month-old fetus was killed. A few days later, Li Changfeng put Mrs. Wang Guijin in the detention center.
Because her face was yellow and she was very skinny, the guard suspected that
she was sick. Police from the National Security Team then took her to the
hospital for an exam and found that she had hepatitis B. But they lied to the
detention center that her contagious stage had passed already, so that they
could keep her in the detention center for torture. She held a hunger strike.
Zheng Xianjun and guard Huang Fan cursed her. Zheng Xianjun put four studs into
the ground and tied her arms and legs to the studs. Then Doctor Zhang Duoshu
inserted a feeding tube into her stomach. Since she was so weak, her skin turned
purple and her eyes became motionless. Then the force-feeding was stopped. The
guards tied her to a chair for an IV injection, but they could not find a blood
vessel as she was too emaciated. The detention center claimed, "As long as
she still can breathe, she will not be released." The torture caused her
legs to become disabled and she could not care for herself. But guard Wang Xinqi
told other inmates, "She is anti-revolutionary scum. No one should be
sympathetic to her." Later, Mrs. Wang Guijin was sentenced to five years in prison by the Huaiyang
County Court and her husband was sentenced to ten years in prison by the
Chuanhui District Court. Practitioner Mr. Lei Bangxi Tortured to Death Practitioner Mr. Lei Bangxi, 50, lived at the Zhenguantun Administrative
Village, Xinzhan Town, Huaiyang County. He had severe congenital hereditary
bronchitis. After he practiced Falun Gong in 1996, his bronchitis disappeared
without any treatment. Mr. Lei went to Beijing to validate the Fa at the end of 2000. He was
arrested by Beijing police and taken back to the Huaiyang County Detention
Center by policemen Ren Wei and Li Changfeng. He was extremely skinny after
being tortured at the detention center. After he was released, he was arrested
and put in the detention center again. He was imprisoned for more than 300 days
during the two imprisonments and was tortured both physically and mentally. He
became extremely weak and his bronchitis came back. He died in April 2003. Practitioner Ms. Guo Xiumei Murdered by the Police Practitioner Ms. Guo Xiumei, 45, retired from the Huaiyang County Health
Quarantine Station. Around 9 p.m. on September 22, 2002, she was murdered when
distributing truth-clarification materials. She was found kneeling down in front
of a resident's home with swelling and black extravasated blood on her face, a
hollow left eye socket, and big black extravasated blood marks on her neck and
chest. She was still breathing weakly when the police came, but they only
videotaped her and left, without sending her for emergency treatment or
conducting an investigation. Later the police department said that she died of a
