Greetings, Revered Master! Greetings Fellow Practitioners!

Recently, I had several experiences ranging from being arrested in front of the Chinese Embassy, to spending several months contesting charges in court, to being illegally held in prison for ten days.

During that period, some practitioners enlightened that it was the manifestation of the showdown between good and evil in Singapore. Many overseas and local practitioners came to the subordinate court to give their support, and they helped send righteous thoughts in close proximity.

I would like to share my thoughts and experience regarding the "July 20" Case in Singapore, and my understanding on what the old forces' arrangements are and how to break through them.

About the old forces' arrangement, Master Li mentioned it in "Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A." Master said,

"As I've said, if no beings had persecuted Dafa they could all have a benevolent solution. But I knew that if all beings in the cosmos were that good then there wouldn't be a need for Fa-rectification. They were sure to surface, it was just a question of what form it would take. So that created a test for our Dafa disciples. That's all. This is a kind of natural manifestation, but, this type of arrangement by the old forces, this careful arrangement, this really systematic arrangement that goes from top to bottom, that's a first-ever. And this massive tribulation is really enormous. What you experience and perceive is just the manifestation in man's society, but what I see is utterly shocking to even the beings of the greater cosmos. "

Master also said in the same Fa-lecture,

"So all things aside, in this persecution the evil beings have the worst goal, while the old forces that have manipulated the evil also have their goal. And what's their goal? It appears that they're using those evil beings to do evil to Dafa disciples and Dafa in order to have Dafa disciples be supposedly "matured through tempering" and to weed out those who don't deserve to be Dafa disciples, and along with this to use the sins that the evil beings have committed against Dafa disciples to destroy them and purify the cosmos. That's what the old forces have arranged. Sounds so noble, doesn't it? But it's not! Their real goal is to get what they want out of this. This isn't cultivation with a small reach--it's the cosmos going through Fa-rectification. Everything is just too trivial to even mention next to the Fa-rectification--nothing begins to compare. You can't compare things that occur in personal cultivation with the Fa-rectification."

Regarding the old forces local arrangements in Singapore, I realized that the old forces arranged Singapore's current National system and the strict laws as well as the Singapore people's fear and their attachment to comfort. It also arranged a tyrannical political system that requires people to listen to it all of the time.

When the ex-head of the 610 Office of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), Li Lanqing, visited Singapore, the Singapore authorities unreasonably took practitioners to court who were clarifying the truth.

While Falun Gong practitioners were urgently calling for support to stop the CCP from harvesting organs from living practitioners and calling for people's conscience and kindness, the Singapore authorities made the wrong choice in the face of the critical issues of right or wrong and kindness or evil. The Singapore authorities, including the police, the courts, the prison system, the immigration department and the media, etc, directly participated in persecuting Dafa practitioners, disregarding the justice of the law and basic human conscience. They misled many innocent Singaporean people. Later, Singapore's Falun Gong case was used by the CCP to manipulate some Mainland media and websites to do negative propaganda on Falun Gong and mislead many innocent Mainland Chinese people as well, and it worsened the persecution for Falun Gong practitioners in Mainland China.

We all know that the root cause of persecution is from the evil specter behind the CCP, but from the court case, we also saw that Singapore authorities chose to ally themselves with the evil. During the trial session, the government attorney (the prosecutor) put photos of evil Jiang and a wooden toad in the courtroom. This exposed that

the Singapore authorities were manipulated by the evil factors of the evil CCP specter.

Every life has the opportunity of choosing to be saved in front of the Dafa of the universe. However, if there is life that obstructs this opportunity that causes many lives to not be saved, then this is criminal in the Fa-rectification process in this universe. If the Singapore authorities continue making wrong choices, then the consequences could most likely be that this country doesn't have a future and many sentient beings will not get saved and will lose their opportunity of being saved.

The Singapore authorities' direct participation in persecuting Falun Gong directly impacted the Singapore Dafa practitioners. Since July 20, 1999 when the persecution of Falun Gong in Mainland China started, Dafa practitioners' personal cultivation has changed to Fa-rectification cultivation. What the Singapore practitioners are enduring currently is far beyond the tribulations of personal cultivation. This persecution seems to be against some individual practitioners, however, every practitioner is a particle of Dafa. This persecution essentially is against Dafa, against clarifying the truth and against saving sentient beings. Therefore, it's against all Singapore practitioners.

All of our Dafa practitioners should completely negate the old forces' arrangements and tests. We refuse to endure any tribulations that the old forces try to arrange for us.

During the ten days I stayed in prison, I was treated as a true prisoner. I lost the most basic of freedoms. I lived in a very limited space and was subject to different prison rules. I didn't eat much in the prison. When I was hungry and very thirsty, sometimes I even looked forward to the meal time of the prison. When I was feeling suppressed, I felt better during the one hour when the prisoners were let outside. I found that I started to get a type of thankful thoughts in my mind. Later, I realized that this was like the symptoms of a disease. I then used my righteous thoughts to eliminate these wrong thoughts. A Dafa disciple shouldn't have been sent to prison to begin with. During the last one and a half days, I protested by not eating anything. Being hungry is just a feeling. I didn't have such thankful thoughts for any food, water or time to go out for fresh air. I didn't commit any crime. I completely negated this arrangement from the bottom of my heart.

A senior official once said to me, "For example, I'm the Father, you're the son. The Father has a good friend, as a son, you accuse the good friend of your father of doing bad deeds. Do you think your father will be happy about it? You're a mature man, you should understand what I mean." Singapore government officials often expressed that it would be good if you only do the exercises and don't affect the relations between Singapore and China. Singapore is a small country, and is special.

In this environment, Singapore practitioners experience great pressure in holding Fa-rectification activities. Fellow practitioners always argue about the methods of clarifying the truth. Why can we not protest the CCP's persecution in Singapore? Some practitioners said, didn't the government let Falun Gong register legally? Why would we feel thankful for this tiny living space? Some practitioners accepted in their notions that Singapore is special. However, if we use the principles of the cosmos' Fa-rectification to measure it, this doesn't comply with the Fa-rectification's requirements.

Master says in "Teaching the Fa at the 2004 Western U.S. Fa Conference:"

"Dafa and its disciples oppose the persecution, that is Dafa disciples' duty. If you don't cultivate yourself based on the Fa, you can't cultivate higher by just enduring persecution, much less reach the standards for a Dafa disciple. Don't acknowledge this so-called 'environment' that the old forces have provided, because during the Fa-rectification I would have had all beings assimilate to Dafa, and it wasn't at all necessary to temper Dafa disciples amidst this kind of evilness. The Fa-rectification will definitely succeed, and Dafa disciples will definitely succeed."

I realized that we are cultivating ourselves in opposing the persecution. Establishing the reasonable environment of clarifying the truth is the responsibility of Singapore practitioners. It should be led by the Dafa practitioners.

Master also says in "Teaching the Fa at the Western U.S. International Fa Conference:"

"Human society is in delusion, and people cannot see how the cosmos truly is or the real situation of beings. That's how beings are at this level, but the situation during the Fa-rectification is presided over by Dafa and it changes according to what is required so that Dafa can save sentient beings."

When the evil persecutes Dafa and Dafa practitioners, we should stand out with dignity. The challenging environment shouldn't block us from validating Dafa. As Dafa practitioners, we play the leading roles during this historical period. We need to establish the environment so we can validate Dafa, protect Dafa, and save sentient beings. It is the mission of Dafa disciples, and Master's and Dafa's choice.

Recently, several articles on Minghui, the Chinese edition of the Clearwisdom website, enlightened me. One Mainland practitioner realized that opposing the persecution is not just clarifying the truth and exposing the evil. The most important thing is not to accept the old forces' arrangements, to use righteous thoughts to negate the old forces' arrangements, to send forth righteous thoughts to completely dissolve the old forces, to assist Master in Fa-rectification and to clearly recognize the missions and responsibilities of Dafa practitioners. The persecution was started by the old forces, but Master never acknowledged it. Master said a long time ago that this is not persecution of humans against humans. The old forces are the main factors in this persecution. The persecution in the human world is just a reflection in this dimension. Therefore, resisting persecution of our practitioners can't be restricted to only this human world. We should have a deeper understanding in our minds. Dafa practitioners should recognize what the "old forces" are, and use our righteous thoughts and power to eliminate them. Isn't this a more effective way to fight the persecution? Whether Dafa practitioners study the Fa well enough directly affects the level of clearly seeing the "old forces" and impacts the effectiveness of sending forth righteous thoughts.

I realized that completely negating the old forces' persecution is truly carrying out well the three things that Master asks us to do - studying the Fa well, sending forth righteous thoughts, and clarifying the truth. These are the basic requirements of a Dafa practitioner to save sentient beings.

After I was declared guilty in court on November 30, I was taken to the detention center in the basement. The police intentionally made me walk with handcuffs in front of many practitioners and let everyone see me being taken into custody. Several practitioners waved at me. I felt sad. I think the government was attempting to use this to scare other practitioners.

I was released on December 9. When I saw some practitioners greeting me outside the prison, I was very moved. The same day, there were plainclothes police taking photos from a distance, but the fellow practitioners were not intimidated by the pressure.

One official in the prison once told me, "I saw that you guys are so persistent. Falun Gong must be good. I want to know what Falun Gong truly is." This means if we are not afraid of pressure and continue with the effort of clarifying the truth, people will truly awaken eventually.

We should continue with our efforts to clarify the truth. I hope the Singapore authorities can be awakened too. During this period, if our Dafa practitioners can persist well, it will make the Fa-rectification and cultivation environment better in Singapore. Before the Fa-rectification ends, all humans still have the chance to be saved. We should cherish every minute to do what we are supposed to do and fulfill our prehistoric oaths.

Finally, let's use one of Master's poems from Hong Yin for the mutual encouragement of fellow practitioners.

"Assisting the Fa:"

"You resolved to save sentient beings,
And assist Master as he
journeys this human world;
Come now, and help me turn the Falun,
When the Fa is fulfilled,
Heaven and Earth will be yours to travel." (Hong Yin, Version A)
