Capital Express reported on February 1, 2007 that following the tour performances presented in ten cities in the United States and Canada, the 2007 NTDTV Chinese New Year Spectacular will continue its tour to Europe, Japan and Australia, including two main shows staged on March 20 to 21 at Canberra Theatre. The show, featuring traditional dance, music, and costume from various minorities and from different dynasties of ancient China, presents a unique opportunity for its audiences to understand the profound meanings of Chinese traditional culture.

Chronicle reported on February 6, 2007: Around shopping centers and markets in Canberra, a group of heavenly-looking ladies and angelic young girls in their colorful and traditional Chinese costumes have been hard to miss. Visually astounding, these women have volunteered to circulate the city in an effort to promote the 2007 Chinese New Year Spectacular coming to Canberra in March for the first time. Organized by the Asian Culture Association (ACA), the Spectacular has been rapidly selling tickets. Due to high demand, an additional show has already been added to the program.

The show is produced and presented by the New Tang Dynasty Television (NTDTV). NTDTV first performed the Spectacular four years ago in New York and it was a tremendous success. This year, the NTDTV team will perform in 29 cities around the world. The Spectacular includes graceful dances, exquisite and soulful music and wonderful staging and costumes. These incredible performances showcase 5000 years of Chinese culture and is an unforgettable feast of music, dance and entertainment.

Canberra Times reported on February 7, 2007: Canberra is fortunate to have celebrations extended this year thanks to the Asian Culture Association (ACA) hosting the 2007 Chinese New Year Spectacular in March. The Spectacular will showcase 5000 years of Chinese culture. ACA vice president Songfa Liu said, "When you listen to the music, it stays in your ears. When you watch the show, it touches your heart."

The Word reported on February 13, 2007: An authentic celebration of the Chinese New Year in Canberra this year is available to everyone, thanks to the Asian Culture Association's (ACA) hosting the Chinese New Year Spectacular at the Canberra Theater in March. The Spectacular is produced and presented by the New Tang Dynasty Television (NTDTV). At shopping centers and markets over the past few weeks it has been hard to miss a group of heavenly-looking Chinese ladies and angelic girls in their bright, colorful traditional Chinese costumes. They are busy promoting the Spectacular,which has come to Canberra for the first time. This year, the Divine Performing Arts Troupe will give two performances in Brisbane, and two performances in Canberra, three performances in Melbourne and four performances in Sydney.

The Canberra Review reported on February 8, 2007 introduced the broad and profound traditional Chinese culture that the performances will showcase, entitled, "Legends, magic and a heavenly language." It also said that President of NTDTV Global, Mr. Zhong Lee said a primary goal of the show was to bridge the gap between the East and West. One of the ways to achieve this was to use Western technical mastery to present ancient Chinese culture to the fullest effect.

Vina Lee, a professional choreographer talked about her feeling for the performances. She said, "I feel very deeply that music is a heavenly language. It is able to uplift people's hearts and minds."

Chronicle reported on March 13, 2007: Join in Chinese New Year celebrations with the Chinese New Year Spectacular at the Canberra Theater Center on March 20 and 21.
