Germany: Sharing the Wonderful New Year Spectacular with Family

(Clearwisdom.net) "The Spectacular is so wonderful," Ms. Sun told a Chinese person who hadn't been to the Spectacular. "I never expected that the Spectacular would be so fabulous. The Mongolian dancing made me feel like I was on the plains. It is indescribable."

Six months ago, Ms. Sun came to Germany to visit her daughter and son-in-law. Her daughter showed her a DVD of the 2006 NTDTV Chinese New Year Gala. Ms. Sun watched it while having dinner, and didn't pay very much attention to it. She said, "It is not much different than the galas in China." Her daughter didn't say anything, thinking, "Let's see what you are going to say when you see it this year."

Ms. Sun came to visit her daughter again one-and-a-half-months before the Spectacular. She was not happy that her son-in-law was busy for the Spectacular every day and didn't have time to take care of her grandson. She complained, "Isn't it just a show, dancing and singing? Why do you take it so seriously and put so much time into it?"

Ms. Sun likes to read the newspapers and websites that are forbidden in China. She reads the Epoch Times every day, which reports on the Spectacular frequently. After reading many reports about it, Ms. Sun started to think, "This Spectacular might be different than the others. So many people praised it. Not only Chinese people, but also Westerners like it. Even some experts complimented it." Gradually, Ms. Sun stopped complaining and waited to see the Spectacular.

One month before the Spectacular, Ms. Xu, a Falun Gong practitioner the same age as Ms. Sun, moved into Ms. Sun's daughter's house. She came to this city to promote the Spectacular and to help sell tickets. Ms. Xu went out on the street, passing out introductory materials about the Spectacular every day. She got up at 7:00 a.m., and went out after a quick meal of instant noodles. She came back at 11:00 p.m., and had another bag of instant noodles as dinner. Ms. Sun saw everything. She didn't say anything to Ms. Xu, but said to her daughter and son-in-law, "It is so remarkable that Ms. Xu puts out so much effort for others. I admire her."

Ms. Sun finally saw the Spectacular. She enjoyed it very much. Her daughter told her that the Spectacular would tour the world next year. She was excited and asked her daughter to tell her more about the Spectacular. So, her daughter started with the gala in 2004. She told Ms. Sun that the gala performances got better and better each year, and the Spectacular obtained help from experts. She told Ms. Sun how the organizers and performers overcame all manner of difficulties. Ms. Sun highly praised the Spectacular. Her daughter never heard her mother praise anybody in that tone. Ms. Sun admires the performers for their professional skills and for their spirit. She also admires the director of the whole Spectacular.

When Chinese guests visit, Ms. Sun often praises the Spectacular in front of them. She plans to visit another daughter of hers next year. This daughter lives in a city where the Spectacular will be shown next year. This daughter and her family have never watched the Spectacular before. Ms. Sun made the decision that she will bring them to the Spectacular so that she can share the wonderful show with her whole family.
