Danger Abates When Righteous Thoughts Emerge

(Clearwisdom.net) One day I decided to ride my bike to a village to “clarify the truth” and post materials. Before setting out, I first sent forth righteous thoughts, and after arriving there, I took out the truth-clarification flyers and posted them on walls and cement pillars.

At this moment, an old lady with firewood in her arms saw the posted flyers. Because it was during the day, I glanced at her and continued posting the flyers. After crossing a narrow bridge, I posted all of my flyers in the village. But the bridge was the only exit from the village, and when I came back to it, I saw two burly men with fierce looks on their faces. They rasped: “Get off your bike!” I thought the old lady must have reported me.

I didn't feel scared, but immediately thought of what Teacher said. Freeze the wicked evildoers by righteous thoughts. My mind was calm and without fear. I sent forth the strong righteous thought, “Freeze!” and both of them really froze like stakes. I rode my bike, passing them, and after a while I looked back and saw they were still standing there. I thought I shouldn't let them stand there for too long, and hence I sent a thought, “relax.” As soon as this thought came out, the two men turned about and stared at me.

With Teacher's merciful protection, I arrived safely back at home, and I thought, “They could have easily caught me. At a critical moment, one's righteous thoughts are very important.”

This made me understand that only by believing in Teacher and the Fa and studying the Fa well can we have strong righteous thoughts and leave no loopholes for the evil. At critical moments, righteous thoughts come from our solid understandings of the Fa principles. But in the surface dimension, we should also be careful, and not go to any extremes.
