(Clearwisdom.net) One senior practitioner told us this story:

He bought a grandfather clock in 1985. Because he was afraid that it would affect his sleep, he never wound up the clock so it would not strike every hour on the hour. Over the last twenty years, the clock worked well but never struck, and the chime mechanism finally rusted.

On November 16, 2006, the clock suddenly began to strike every hour on the hour. It continued for eight days, stopped for two days and then started up again.

Master once said that nothing happens to a practitioner by accident. When a mechanical alarm clock strikes around the clock without being wound up, this supernormal event should make us think. This senior practitioner said, “This is an alarm bell to me.” He realized that he had not paid close enough attention to his “xinxing”. He fought with his wife over trivial matters. He knew it was not right but he could not control himself and he regretted it afterwards. He also realized that he has a strong attachment to fear. He did not do well with the spreading of truth materials and persuading people to quit the CCP. He knew that Master was giving him a “wake-up call.”

Some practitioners understood that this is an alarm bell that Master rang for all Dafa practitioners, not just one. The alarm is for those practitioners who are not diligent, who still have loopholes, and it's warning us the Fa rectification period is coming to the end.

I remembered several strange events in our district. One practitioner was making breakfast, when suddenly his pot began leaking through a big hole. He finally finished his breakfast after a while. He wondered about the pot being fine, and how all of a sudden it began to leak. Recently his faucet was also leaking and a cup leaked a large puddle of water on the table. Was Master trying to tell him something? He settled down and began looking inward. He summarized why: he only spent two hours at night to study the “Fa”, hardly ever finished the five sets of exercises a day, his mind wandered while sending forth righteous thoughts, he was unable to go out to clarify the truth. How can he be called a disciple during the Fa rectification period? He has too many loopholes and really needs to wake up! A couple of days later, he used the pot with the hole to make something and it no longer leaked; it worked fine.

Another practitioner said that a fellow practitioner came to visit her. She poured water into a teapot and it leaked all over the table. She thought maybe her grandson broke the teapot and poured the water into a cup instead. The next day, another practitioner came to visit her and she used the same teapot. After having tea, she suddenly realized that it leaked yesterday, but it was not leaking today. She carefully checked the teapot, and nothing was wrong. She realized that Master was trying to tell her something: there was loophole in her cultivation.

While sharing experiences, many practitioners stated that these events made us really think. We should really look inward. Master told us, “The Closer to the End, the More Diligent You Should Be”, and “I hope everyone will do better and better at the end. Be sure not to become lax. You must not slack off, and you must not become apathetic.” (Teaching the Fa in the City of Los Angeles)

Fellow practitioners, Wake up!
