By a practitioner in Heilongjiang Province

(Clearwisdom.net) I am 76 years old and I started practicing Falun Dafa on May 18, 1996. At that time, I did not understand the reason why I needed to study the Fa, but I just liked to read the Fa. Over and over I read through the entire book Zhuan Falun without being aware of how many times I read it. I then started to write down how many times I read the book in one month and then I recorded the times I had read the book in a year. Later, with the help of fellow practitioners, I started to understand that it is not important how many times we read the book and that this is not the purpose. But that it is more important to learn the Fa with my heart, examine everything I say and do according to the Fa, strictly follow the Fa wherever I am, and live according to the Fa.

I have also endured the enormous, overwhelming pressure and suppression against Falun Gong that started on July 20, 1999. Due to my firm belief in Master and Dafa, I was able to endure all kinds of tribulations. Although we lost our group practice environment, we actually have the support of all the practitioners in the entire world. I also have a good cultivation environment at home and, furthermore, we all have the protection of our benevolent Master. I further began to understand that during the Fa-rectification period, we should really cultivate diligently in order to be worthy of Master's salvation!

My spouse and I are in the same Fa study group. We learn the Fa together and encourage each other, and we diligently cultivate together. When facing difficulties, we are as firm as a rock and nothing can move our determination. Master asked us to do the three things well and one of them is to learn the Fa well. When we achieve the state of assimilating into the Fa, we experience what Master has taught us,

"A person who truly cultivates will gain things naturally without pursuing them. All of the gong and Fa lie in the book, and one will naturally obtain them by reading Dafa. Those who learn it will change automatically, and they will already be in the Dao when they read the book over and over again." ("Seeking Discipleship with Teacher" in Essentials for Further Advancement)

We never ceased regular Fa study and memorizing the Fa and we have persistently cultivated Dafa with a firm mind. We walk on the righteous path of cultivating Dafa with determination. Over the past several years many amazing things have happened to us.

In the fall of 2002, I had a dream that I was in my previous residence. Suddenly two black dogs appeared in my room; one was standing by the door and one was bitting my right hand. I struggled for a while and then woke up. I came to realize immediately that the evil was trying to persecute us. Within a few days, five police officers came to my home with a "search warrant" at about 2:00 p.m. They told me to sign the form and then they turned my home upside down. They spent the whole afternoon searching through my home but did not find anything. Two of the officers did not want to give up and they searched in a cardboard box again two more times but in vain. As a matter of fact, my Dafa books were in that box but Master had protected us from this danger!

Sometime ago, the practitioners in our local area were dependent upon other areas to provide us with truth clarification materials, but that did not meet our needs. Oftentimes a Fa study group in our area would have to wait for a while before they could read "Minghui Weekly." It was even more difficult to get Master's new lectures or other materials. Thoughts of "asking for help, waiting for help and depending on help from other areas" were holding the practitioners in our area back from keeping up with the Fa rectification.

Through sharing, Dafa disciples in our area elevated their xinxing and cleared away barriers. We decided to no longer wait and rely on others for the materials and that with Master's guidance and the Fa, nothing should be able to stop us. First, some of our local practitioners started to learn computer technology and gradually more practitioners got involved. I started learning the computer in July 2005. At the beginning, I thought that since I was old, the young people would be more suitable for this kind of work because the computer are so complex. In addition, I also had the attachment of fear. With the coordinator's help, I elevated my xinxing. The coordinator said to me, "Dafa practitioners are all here for others and should not worry about personal gains or safety. Master proposed having material centers everywhere. We should start now and create material centers like in other areas. We should walk our cultivation path well. As long as we have the wish, Master will help us. I believe we can do it well. With Master's help and the Fa, what is there to worry about?" The coordinator's words warmed my heart and I knew that Master was helping and encouraging me through the coordinator's words.

In the spring of 2005, many material centers in other areas were damaged and our supplies of materials supply stopped. For quite a long time we could not read Master's new lectures, Minghui Weekly, or other materials. In this difficult situation, with Master's arrangements, three family material centers were set up locally. It was with the patient help of fellow practitioners and their step-by-step instructions that I was able to learn the skills of printing. With the fellow practitioners' help, I was able to get onto the Internet and download and print materials within three months. I was also able to do simple editing as well as operate and fix printers.

The first attachment that needs to be discarded when doing truth clarification materials is the attachment of fear. As long as we maintain righteous thoughts and take righteous actions, knowing that we are Dafa practitioners of the Fa rectification period and knowing that we are the most sacred, greatest and dignified gods in the universe who are saving lives and doing the most righteous and important thing of the universe, we can then guarantee the smooth and unimpeded operation. As long as we do not leave any loopholes for the evil to persecute us, we can assist Master as he journeys this human world, and all obstacles can be overcome.

With regard to clarifying the truth, I studied the Fa in the morning and did truth clarification work in the afternoon. I went to many places to distribute truth clarification materials, including the remote countryside, main streets and small alleys in towns, corridors in buildings of residential areas, etc. The material we distributed included flyers, posters, weekly publications, CDs, pamphlets, the Nine Commentaries, and so on. While saving lives and clarifying the truth, we encountered many difficulties. When facing difficulties, one can overcome them only with firm belief in Master and the Fa. For instance in the fall of 2004, I went to a remote village about 25 li (about 8 miles) away from the county township to distribute truth clarification material. On the bottom of my right foot a blood blister formed after I had just walked several li and it was very painful. I thought, "I am a Dafa practitioner and should not be stopped by difficulties" and "I should be thinking about saving lives rather than worrying about my personal safety." Miraculously, my foot stopped hurting right away. It was 6:00 p.m. when I finished distributing the truth clarification materials and my left foot had also started to hurt. I was hungry, thirsty, exhausted, and in pain; I really wanted to take public transportation and go home. I then thought, "Many practitioners have lost their lives for the truth of the universe. The small pain I am suffering is nothing. I am not going to take a bus, I am going to walk home." Miraculously again, my feet immediately stopped hurting.

A difference in thought made a huge difference in the result. It took me only 45 minutes to get home and my feet were not hurting. It was really miraculous.

With a practitioner's compassion I also advised people to withdraw from the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) and its affiliated organizations. I understood from the beginning that distributing the Nine Commentaries is one of the most effective ways to help people understand the truth. I have helped several dozens of my relatives, management personnel in my company, and friends to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations through the website that allows people to submit their withdrawals. I feel that I have not done enough in this aspect and I will continue to do this more diligently.

Sending forth righteous thoughts is one of the three things Master asked us to do and it is very important. Every practitioner of the Fa rectification period must do it well. In order to send forth righteous thought well, I read Master's lectures related to sending righteous thoughts repeatedly and also related articles by the Minghui/Clearwisdom website editors. From the beginning to present, I have rarely missed the time to send forth righteous thoughts. (If I miss the set time, I make it up the next hour.)

Based on the schedule for global synchronized sending forth righteous thoughts, we added three more times every Sunday at 7:00, 8:00 and 9:00 p.m. according to our local situation. In addition to that, I added two more times according to my own situation. I send forth righteous thoughts nine times a day so as to eliminate any interference to our material production center. I have been doing that without missing one day since I started the truth clarification material work. Sending forth righteous thoughts is using our supernormal power and it is very important. With Master's benevolent protection for the past several years, I have made it to this point today by walking my path of cultivation with steady steps.

My understanding is very limited, so please point out any of my insufficiencies.
