Falun Dafa Brought Hope and Renewal to My Aunt's Tormented Life

(Clearwisdom.net) This is a true story. When my oldest Aunt was very young, she became possessed by dozens of animal spirits (futi), including foxes, weasels, ghosts, and snakes. They could not be removed or scared away from her no matter how she tried. Most people thought she was insane, but she was in fact suffering a great deal. She tried to commit suicide several times because of it, but fortunately her family always managed to stop her.

Whenever the spirits tormented her, she had to set up an offering table and burn incense to appease them. Because they constantly took away her body's essence of qi, her health quickly deteriorated. Despite her nutritious diet, her body became weaker and weaker. She had a pale complexion and lost a lot of hair. She had very low energy and could not do any housework, let alone physical labor.

On the verge of life and death several years later, however, she learned about Falun Dafa and began to practice it. After a short while she was once again able to see hope in life. It was indescribable how grateful she was.

Teacher said in Lecture Three of Zhuan Falun:

"In the eyes of ordinary people, the animal is so formidable that it can easily control human beings. In fact, I say it is not formidable. It is nothing to a true cultivator. Even if it has cultivated for nearly a thousand years, a small finger would be more than enough to crush it."

After learning this principle, my aunt's righteous thoughts were strengthened and the spirit possessions began to be eliminated. They viciously attacked her mind and tried to make her waver, putting thoughts like "Which do you choose? Dafa or us?" into her mind. But with her firm belief in Teacher and Dafa, my aunt held firm, saying to them, "My Teacher is taking care of me. I surely don't want you anymore! I must practice Falun Dafa!" She quickly disposed of the offering table and incense sticks and the spirit possessions all ran away. They told her, "We've been with you for almost 30 years now. Since you want to practice Falun Dafa, we'll have to leave you and attach onto other people."

That night, she had a vivid dream which gave her encouragement. There was a tree whose trunk and branches had all withered. The trunk was split and the branches were broken. There were no leaves and no life. But when she looked more closely, she saw a few tiny yellow buds being born from within the tree. She realized that this tree was a representation of her body, and her body was beginning to be renewed with life. After my aunt became steadfast in practicing Falun Dafa, she began to rediscover her true self. She became healthy and agile again.

During the persecution of Falun Dafa by the CCP, some CCP officials once attempted to force my aunt to give up her practice. But she confronted them, saying, "It is Dafa that saved my life! It is such a great practice that I'm determined to continue with it no matter what!" One of her family members also spoke out firmly on her behalf, saying, "It is well-known that spirit possession tormented her for most of her life and she was dying as a result. Our whole family used to suffer for this. But she is healthy again because of Dafa. How can you claim to be 'Serving the People' if you force her to give up her practice? Wouldn't you be 'Serving spirit possession' in fact? Let me tell you: Falun Dafa is good. And our whole family supports it!" After hearing this, the officials left her alone.
