During the 2007 Chinese New Year holidays, an official from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Committee of Gansu Province went back to his hometown where he had heard the truth of Falun Gong from his relatives. Once he arrived, he quit the Chinese Communist Party and the Youth League and chose a bright future for himself.

A government official from northeast China has a relative who is a Falun Gong practitioner. This practitioner suffered inhuman torture at the hands of the CCP. Based on his relative's experience, however, this government official has become clear on just how cruel, callous, and pretentious the Party is. During a Party meeting he publicly announced he would withdraw his membership. His superior at his work unit told him to think about it, "You are a model worker. Aren't you afraid of your future being affected?"

He replied, "My quitting the Party won't have any bad effects on my doing my job well. To the contrary, I will do my job better after I quit. I will become a righteous and good person after quitting the evil Party organization."

A Public Security Bureau Director from northeast China once participated in persecuting Falun Gong during the period around April 25, 1999. Later, after practitioners clarified the truth of Falun Gong to him and told him that "good is rewarded with good and bad meets with retribution," he has not arrested or persecuted any practitioners. When he finds practitioners distributing Falun Gong materials, he pretends not to see them and won't carry out any persecution.

Once he was traveling by car back from a business trip when he got into a car accident. All the other passengers were killed except him; he suffered only broken ribs. After a short hospital stay his health recovered. When practitioners visited him in the hospital he gripped practitioners' hands, saying, "Falun Gong is good, Falun Gong is good." It is true that good and evil all come from a thought. The universal law is benevolent and does not only focus on one's past mistakes. One's own good thoughts can redeem his or her future.

A practitioner from Chongqing City distributed Falun Gong truth clarifying materials on the pedestrian streets during the Chinese New Year. Most people politely accepted the material as a New Year's gift.

One person on the street received the material and asked, "Is this about Falun Gong?" The practitioner replied openly and confidently, "Yes." The person did not say anything more and kept walking a few steps. He then turned his head back and held his hand high in the air, saying, "I firmly support you!"

An English translator had an opportunity to visit the US and was deeply impressed at how different the environment was abroad. After returning to China, she told her relatives, "Our lives in China are truly miserable! Not only do we encounter hardships in everyday life, but our minds are controlled and we are constantly being deceived. That is the real hardship! Living inside China you don't know that the Chinese Communist Party's crimes are really infamous around the world, while Falun Gong is so popular abroad." When she told others about her experiences abroad, her voice filled with emotion.

Later, a friend of mine came across her younger brother, who also told my friend about her sister's experiences abroad. My friend then told me about it and I could feel he was touched deeply by what he heard.

Today I overheard some neighbors talking about the differences between the good old days and nowadays. I could sense their feelings of helplessness in the face of the society's degrading morality and their extreme disappointment with the Chinese Communist Party. Nowadays, people's negative comments about the Party are open and frequent.

When people hear about Falun Gong today, they are not afraid, nor do they want to avoid it any more. Most of them remain calm and listen to the truth of Falun Gong. Some people will even help spread the truth about Dafa by word of mouth.
