Mr. Hanlong Tang, President of the Falun Dafa Association, said that the protest rally was being held in front of the Chinese Embassy because they wanted to send a two-part message to the French people and to the staff of the Embassy. First they wanted to protest the Chinese police's illegal abduction and detention of Falun Gong practitioner Ma Jian, who is General Manager of the French PCM Pump Company for China and the North Asian region.

Mr. Tang said Falun Gong practitioner Ma Jian was arrested in his office in Beijing by Chinese police on February 28, 2007. He was subjected to brainwashing for three weeks and then sent to Dongcheng Detention Center in Beijing. His family members have not been allowed to visit him. As a result, they are very worried about Ma's safety. The CCP has persecuted over 3000 Falun Gong practitioners to death since 1999 and many other practitioners have been killed for their organs.

Mr. Tang said the second part of the message was that over 20 million Chinese have already withdrawn from the CCP and its affiliated organizations. They hoped the embassy staff would quit the CCP to secure their lives, understand the situation, and not follow the CCP on its road to destruction. He said, "20 million is a considerable number. The CCP does not represent China. The CCP is not a Chinese tradition. It is an alien force and the biggest specter on this planet. In order to secure your safety, life, and happiness, hurry and withdraw from the CCP. The red wall of the CCP is crumbling and the spirit of the CCP is being destroyed. Do not become the victims of the CCP's destruction. We hope you can see the situation clearly and condemn this evil organization."

Alex from the French Falun Dafa Association talked about the persecution of Falun Gong by the CCP since 1999. The CCP has made use of its army, police, hospitals and forced labor camps to harvest Falun Gong practitioners' organs for sale. He urged people to rescue Ma Jian and Ma Hui.

During the rally, participants used an amplifier to broadcast their warning in Chinese and French to the embassy staff. They said doomsday for the CCP was fast approaching: "Stop following the CCP to persecute Falun Gong, do not become the victims of the CCP's destruction, think about your own future and join others in quitting the CCP."
