Lies Can't Change the Truth, Everyone Is Equal Before the Truth -- Comments on a Letter from the Chinese Ambassador in Denmark to the Mayor of Aarhus and the Chinese Consulate in Denmark By a Falun Gong practitioner in Denmark
(Clearwisdom.net) During the past months, citizens and government
officials of the second largest city in Denmark, Aarhus, frequently talked about
ending the partnership with their sister city in China, Harbin. After the Aarhus delegation returned from Harbin City in China, the Aarhus
city government received a letter from a local human right organization, Denmark
Network for Human Rights in China. The letter disclosed the brutal crimes
committed against Falun Gong practitioners tortured in Harbin. The organization
provided detailed comprehensive information on how the city of Harbin abetted in
the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners during the past year. For example,
according to incomplete statistic from Clearwisdom.net, 378 practitioners died
in Heilongjiang Province -- the second highest among all provinces - and
one-third of these died in Harbin City. On fawanghuihui.org, a website that
collects persecution cases with date, time, location, story, name of criminals
and witnesses, there are 500 pages listing crimes that happened in Harbin.
According to witnesses, the torture methods include shocking with electric
batons and force-feeding with feces. During the past eight years of the persecution, the prisons and labor camps
that killed the most practitioners and were notorious for using cruel torture
methods are located in Harbin- - the Wanjia Forced Labor Camp, the Changlinzi
Forced Labor Camp, and Harbin Women's Prison. In addition, over the past two
years, large-scale organ removals from living practitioners has also taken place
in Harbin. Shi Zhongxin, Mayor of Harbin, once said in public, "Harbin has
successfully combated Falun Gong." Shi openly admitted that he and his
officials committed brutal crimes. The Denmark Network for Human Rights in China
questioned the Aarhus officials. They asked, "How could the Danish people
who love peace, freedom, treasure lives and respect human rights, stay silent
and shake hands with a slaughterer?" Hearing the truth, the kind and just people of Aarhus were shocked. The local
major media introduced the facts of the persecution against Falun Gong at great
length. A lot of citizens and officials expressed the feeling that they couldn't
tolerate such crimes. Given the Aarhus citizens' pressure, Xie Hangsheng, the Chinese Ambassador in
Denmark, wrote a letter to the mayor of Aarhus on March 1. This letter includes
a statement from the Chinese Consulate in Denmark and a statement from the
Chinese Consulate in Canada denying organ removal from living practitioners.
Yet, the allegation of organ removal was already confirmed by the independent
Canadian human rights investigators. In the letter, Xie described the tortures and live organ removals in Harbin
as "lies." He stated, "These kinds of lies damage China's image
and humiliate 1.3 billion Chinese people." However, the Chinese Communist
Party (CCP) dictatorship doesn't represent the 1.3 billion people. Most of the
1.3 billion Chinese no longer believe in the CCP and do not like the CCP's
tyranny, including those who work for the CCP. In fact, these people had to
betray their conscience to follow the CCP because they were tied to the CCP
because of all the corruption and crimes they had committed together. Xie must know that the CCP officials are well known for their violations of
human rights. When CCP officials talk with leaders from the free democratic
world, they often lose face when they are told to improve human rights. When the
CCP leaders visit the free world, they also frequently come across protesters on
the street. The letter from Xie and the Chinese Consulate is intimidating. The letter
told the city's officials that they are bound to tell the people of Aarhus that
the CCP officials strictly abide by international conventions and never
transplant organs from donors without their consent and signatures. Xie claimed
that the evidence provided to the city were lies by Falun Gong practitioners. Xie's slanderous words and tone of the letter were very similar to the
statement made by the Chinese Consulate staff in Canada last year. What Xie
forgot when he wrote the letter was an international headline in November 2006
-- Huang Jianfu, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Health in China, publicly
admitted that the major source of live organs in China came from death row
prisoners, instead of denying that it even existed. In the Chinese tradition, it
is important to safeguard the sanctity of one's body, even in death. Volunteers
for organ donation are very hard to find. Making all the death row prisoners
volunteers for organ donation is a trick that fools no one. Huang's words
obviously contradicted Xie's statement that "the CCP strictly follows
international conventions." Of course when Huang made the statement that organs came from death row
prisoners, he was trying to deflect accusations that the CCP illegally removes
organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. Since the persecution against Falun
Gong started in 1999, organ transplant cases in China have skyrocketed. The
websites of all major hospitals, in order to attract international customers to
come to China for organ transplants and to profiteer from it, published sweet
promises, such as "great success rate, abundant organs and short waiting
time," and so on. In July 2006, Canada's former Secretary of State (Asia Pacific) David Kilgour
and human rights lawyer David Matas publicized an independent investigation into
the allegations of illegal organ harvesting in China. On January 31, 2007, they
published a supplemental report. According to their investigation, between 1999
and 2005, even taking into account the death row prisoners, the CCP couldn't
give an acceptable explanation on the source of the vast amount of organs used
in transplants. According to Kilgour and Matas, that CCP had removed at least
41,500 organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. If Xie wants to prove that he wasn't lying about the source of the organs,
there is one way he can prove it. Currently, groups are formed worldwide solely
for the purpose of investigating the persecution of Falun Gong. One was set up
in London on February 3, 2007. One of the investigators is from Denmark. Xie can
help Danish investigators obtain a visa to enter China and investigate
independently. This can clear Xie's words it they were indeed true.
Unfortunately, for unknown reasons, no visas for anyone wanting to investigate
the organ harvesting issue have been approved. Xie may not want to break the
"rule." Everyone is equal before the truth. One's conscience must be examined justly
by the truth. It's the universal law that good is rewarded and evil provokes
retribution -- the Chinese must have learned this, given their 5,000-year-old
culture and well established traditions. Chinese officials living in the free
Western world can easily see what the CCP is. If they continue to help the evil
and be its tool to poison the minds of the world's people, they are going to
receive retribution. In November 2004, the Epoch Times newspaper published the Nine
Commentaries on the Communist Party. Even today, the CCP officials remain
silent and do not argue against the truth of the CCP's shameful history
described in the Nine Commentaries. After reading the Nine
Commentaries, twenty million Chinese people have resigned from the CCP. Xie
should seize the opportunity to separate himself from the CCP! Posting date: 4/2/2007 |
