Mr. Li Wancun's Family in Tai'an City, Shandong Province, Persecuted for Their Belief in Falun Gong

(Clearwisdom.net) The family of Mr. Li Wancun from Tai'an City, Shandong Province, has four members, including his wife Ms. Dong Aijun, son Li Ming, and daughter Li Hongqin. They started practicing Falun Dafa in 1998. Afterwards the whole family set high standards for themselves according to Master Li Hongzhi's teaching of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance," and they benefited from Falun Dafa, especially Ms. Dong Aijun. After the first several months of practicing, her prominent lumbar vertebra plate, stomachache, and numb hands and feet were all cured. She personally felt the wonders of Falun Dafa. Her son Li Ming is a teacher at the Number 3 Middle School of Wenkou. After he started Falun Dafa practice, he worked diligently and was praised by both his faculty coworkers and students.

On July 20, 1999, Jiang Zemin's regime started the brutal persecution of the Falun Dafa practitioners who believe in Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance. Li Wancun's family wanted to speak out on behalf of Falun Dafa, so they traveled to Beijing to appeal on October 27, 2000. They were detained by the Beijing police for a day. The next day they were taken back by police from the Daiyue District, Tai'an City, and detained for 15 days.

After they returned home, they were detained in the Fangcun Town Police Station. The authorities wanted to use forceful methods to extinguish their belief in Falun Dafa. In order to let people learn the truth about the persecution of Falun Dafa, Dong Aijun distributed truth-clarifying materials. She was reported while distributing information around the Fangcun Town Government Agencies on September 15, 2003, and was arrested and beaten by Fangcun Town Policeman Li Yong. She was then taken to Xintai Detention Center. On the way there, policeman Li Yong took 100 yuan from Ms. Dong Aijun. After she was tortured in Xintai Detention Center for 15 days, she was transferred to the infamous Jinan City Women's First Labor Camp for two years. During that period the police deprived her of sleep and forced her to watch videos that slandered Falun Dafa and Master. She was also forced to work for 12 hours every day.

In 2005, Ms. Dong Aijun was released. Fangcun Town Political Judicial Committee Secretary Yang Kunling, head of the 610 Office Hou Fuguo, and Judicial Center head Xia Feng frequently threatened and harassed the family at their home. Their normal everyday lives were severely disturbed.

On September 13, 2005, Ms. Li Hongqin was arrested by the police from Jinan Railroad Bureau when she was clarifying the truth on the train. She is still in Jinan City Women's First Labor Camp. On October 25, 2005, the police broke into their home and arrested Mr. Li Ming. He was sentenced to four years in prison by Tai'an City Court and detained in Tai'an City Yanbei Prison. His health has been severely damaged and he has lymphatic tuberculosis. However, he has not been allowed to be treated outside of the prison.

The persecution has already seriously damaged the mental and physical health of Mr. Li Wancun and Ms. Dong Aijun, but the authorities still will not let up. On February 5 and 6, 2007, Yefang Village officials Li Wanzhong, Li Chenghai, Jiang Qingbao, Zhou Guangsheng, Li Daiqiang, Li Shenghong, Li Wanxiao, and others broke into the homes of practitioners Zhou XX and Zou XX in order to threaten and harass them. They then proceeded to Mr. Li Wancun's home and pounded on their door five times. Two nights of threats and harassment by the village officials led to the death on the third day of Mr. Li Wancun, who was already frail from a long term illness.

It is a heavenly principle that good is repaid with good, and evil with evil. The following are examples of tribulations for persecuting practitioners.

Wang Shuchun, head of the 610 Office, the deputy secretary of Political Judiciary Committee of the Taishan District, Tai'an City, Shandong Province, developed kidney cancer.

Wang Jianxin, director of the Arrest Approval Department of the Procuratorate of the Taishan District, Tai'an City, was killed by his second wife.
