Facts About Shenzhou City (Hebei Province) 610 Office Agents' Persecution of Practitioners

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioners have been persecuted by agents from the Shenzhou City 610 Office since the persecution began on July 20, 1999. At that time, led by former Secretary of the Political and Judiciary Committee in Shenzhou City Yin Yuzhen (female), all agents from the government, police staff, the Procuratorate, and members of the judicial system have participated the persecution, including Shang Yunhang (male), the former chief of Political and Security Division of the City Police Department.

According to incomplete statistics as of late 2006, the persecution of Falun Dafa disciples in Shenzhou can be summarized as follows:

21 practitioners were sentenced in prison
130 practitioners were sentenced to forced labor
599 practitioners were detained on 1,239 occasions in total
1,401 practitioners were called/interrogated by police 5822 times in total
30 practitioners were on the wanted list
481 practitioners' houses were ransacked a total of 647 times

Property confiscated is listed as follows:
39 tape recorders, seven photos of Master Li, cassette tapes, four VCD players, four color TVs, six cell phones, discs, a tractor, an agricultural vehicle, a watch, five bicycles, Dafa books, video tapes, 25,837 yuan in cash, a loudspeaker, four VCRs, three copy machines, two computers, Falun Gong photos, a bed, two sets of Fa lecture cassette tapes, an audio power amplifier, clothes, and mattresses.

89 people were forced to leave home to avoid being arrested
23 practitioners were tortured to death, including Mr. Liu Xinyun, Mr. Fu Se, Mr. Zhao Jinwang, Ms. Wei Xiaorong, Mr. Zhang Chuntiao, Ms. Geng Cuifen, Mr. Qing Chang, Ms. Zhang Xinhui, Ms. Gui Fen, Mr. Zhao Shujuan, Mr. Tian Zengqin, Ms. Kang Xiaorong, Mr. Guo Jingzhe, Mr. Li Junping, Mr. Chai Zongku, Mr. Yang Yanwen, Mr. Zhang Dazong, Mr. Xi Qiang, Mr. Wang Shaomin, Mr. Rui Qin, Ms. Shu Hui, Mr. Hao Junwei, and Mr. Yun Genwang.

Two people were forced to divorce their spouses
12 people were fired or had their studies terminated;
Two people went missing, Ms. Li Xianghong and Mr. Wang Dajun.
Four relatives of practitioners but not practitioners themselves were detained
Ten people's IDs were withheld.

126 copies of Zhuan Falun, 25 copies of other Dafa books, and 30 cassette tapes were forcibly confiscated. Practitioners were forced to do forced labor for a total of 126 days. One practitioner was taken to the mental hospital once. Two people were denied a permit for working abroad by Shang Yunhang from the Shenzhou City Police Department because their mother practices Falun Gong. Falun Gong practitioners were beaten and seriously injured in Chenshi Township. During one period when a practitioner was detained, their relative was incited to physically attack Dafa disciples.
