By a Falun Dafa practitioner from Hebei Province

(Clearwisdom.net) On March 18, 2007, several Falun Dafa practitioners were reported by someone as they were clarifying the truth and persuading people to quit the Communist party and its affiliated organizations in a county in Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province. Two of the practitioners were arrested and sent to the county police station. On the same day, strengthened by Teacher and full of righteous thoughts, one of them jumped out the window from the 2nd floor and safely escaped. The other practitioner was quickly released. After these events, Dafa practitioners in that region all looked inward. Below are some aspects of their reflections:

Teacher said,

"In order for Dafa disciples to walk their paths well and do the three things well, they must study the Fa well and take Fa-study seriously. ... That is because the Fa is the foundation; it is what's fundamental for Dafa disciples; it is what ensures everything; and it is the avenue by which a human being journeys toward godhood. .... Don't just go through the motions when you study the Fa. You should study with a concentrated mind, and you must really be studying.("To the Australia Fa Conference" November 18, 2006)

Recently, several Fa study groups have been set up. However, during Fa study, many practitioners were not attentive. Each day, they studied one lecture of Zhuan Falun. Sometimes, they would study Teacher's new articles. Some practitioners fell asleep and some were day-dreaming. They did not truly involve themselves in the Fa study. After the publication of the two articles, "Further Remarks on 'Politics' " and "Disintegrate Completely All the Meddling Deities in the Three Realms that Have a Hand in Interfering with Fa-Rectification," they read the articles several times, but they did not study them well and tired to improve their understandings based on the meaning of the articles. In fact, Teacher's new articles indicate that the Fa-rectification process has proceeded to a new stage.

After publication of the new article, "Disintegrate Completely All the Meddling Deities in the Three Realms that Have a Hand in Interfering with Fa-Rectification," Dafa practitioners in China did not form a whole body when sending forth righteous thoughts. Some practitioners still used the previous verses and did not concentrate on disintegrating completely all the meddling deities in the three realms that have a hand in interfering with Fa-rectification. This allowed the evil to take advantage of our loopholes.

Teacher said,

"The old forces don't dare to oppose our clarifying the truth or saving sentient beings. What's key is to not let them take advantage of the gaps in your state of mind when you do things." (Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Boston)

Recently, Dafa practitioners in that region went to the countryside to clarify the truth. Before leaving they gathered together, sometimes three to five, sometimes eight to ten of them. They gathered in one place. It was more obvious with each of them carrying a bag of truth-clarifying materials. They visited residents door by door and stayed in one location for long periods of time. They pursued numbers of people quitting the CCP and competed with each other without realizing they had developed this attachment.

IV. Some Practitioners Did Not Want to Participate in Truth-Telling Activities; Some Practitioners Went Reluctantly Due to Being Afraid of Losing Face

Teacher said,

"As I've said, everything that happens today in the ordinary society is the result of Dafa disciples' thoughts." (Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A.)

Sometimes the coordinators did not agree with each other. They failed to form one body and created a messy situation. When going to the countryside to clarify the truth and persuade people to withdraw from the three CCP-related organizations, some practitioners went with reluctance. As a result, they were reported by someone.

Teacher said,

"I hope everyone will do better and better at the end. Be sure not to become lax. You must not slack off, and you must not become apathetic." (Teaching the Fa in the City of Los Angeles, February 25, 2006)

Previously, when Dafa practitioners in this region went to the countryside to clarify the truth and persuade people to withdraw from the CCP, everything went very well. Many people withdrew each day. Unconsciously, some practitioners developed complacency and the mentality of showing-off. They did not pay enough attention to following the Fa. They thought the environment had relaxed and the evils in other dimensions were nearly eliminated, so they were too bold in their manner. Teacher said,

"I've said before that the evil won't stop persecuting even right up until the very end. Even if it's going to end tomorrow, today that evil will still do evil just the same. That's the way things are in the cosmos before the Fa-rectification is done rectifying it. Without going through Fa-rectification it won't become good on its own--how could it turn good without Fa-rectification? Poison is just poisonous, and if you want it to stop being poisonous it can't do that. So when you look at it that way, we shouldn't have any fantasies about the evil forces and those evil people who are persecuting Dafa." We should firmly remember Teacher's words: "Validate the Fa with rationality, clarify the truth with wisdom, spread the Fa and save people with mercy."("Rationality" from Essentials for Further Advancement II)

VI. Not Clarifying the Truth Fully and Clearly; Having the Attachment of Wanting to Fight and Accomplish Things

It was said that somebody reported on practitioners because some Dafa practitioners were very demanding when distributing materials and VCDs. Some people did not believe what Dafa practitioners said, and reported them to the authorities. In fact, some people are truly hard to save. Our truth-clarifying materials are not easy to get. Since those people did not want them (their attitude was harsh), we could distribute them to other people who do want them, or we could save them for later use. In order to minimize losses, try not to have any direct conflicts with ordinary people.
