Engaging in Persecution Liu Zhanxiu, in her 50s, was the former Party secretary of the Electronics
Department at Shandong University. In 2000, she became the primary person in
charge of the 610 Office in Shandong University. During her term,
she actively engaged in the persecution against Falun Dafa practitioners. She
called in each and every one of the practitioners among the teachers and
students to coerce them to turn in Falun Gong books and to write a
Guarantee Statement. Anyone who refused to comply was sent directly
to the police station. As a result, many practitioners were taken to
brainwashing centers, detention centers, and forced labor camps. One
practitioner was sent to a labor camp numerous times and remains under
surveillance even today with a suspended salary. Good deeds being rewarded and evil acts receiving retribution is a heavenly
principle. At the end of 2006, Liu Zhanxiu was diagnosed with bone cancer. She
