Officers from the Political and Security Section of the Wafangdian Police Department in Dalian City, Liaoning Province Illegally Arrest A Local Citizen

On March 23, 2007, officers from the Political and Security Section of the Wafangdian Police Department in Dalian City, without any legal documents, broke into practitioner Pan Jianli's home. They turned her home upside down and confiscated personal property, including a laptop computer her husband uses when teaching, a laser printer, a color jet printer, a mobile hard disk, an MP3-player, a DVD player, 180 VCD and DVD discs that belonged to their son, 350 VCD and DVD discs belonging to her husband that he needs for teaching, a cell phone, Falun Dafa books and truth clarification materials. The police illegally arrested Ms. Pan Jianli, detained her in the Wafangdian Detention Center, and didn't allow any family members to visit her. The police have detained her for over twenty days. This is a violation of the law that states that a detention time without any evidence can not exceed fifteen days.

The police have been guarding every path leading to their home. Her husband has become homeless and their 6 year-old son can not return home either.
