Japan: Falun Dafa Practitioners Rally outside Chinese Consulate in Osaka to Commemorate the April 25, 1999 Appeal (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On April 25, 2007, despite rainy weather, Falun Dafa practitioners in the Kansai region rallied outside the Chinese Consulate in Osaka to commemorate the "April 25", 1999 Appeal and to call for an end to the 8-year brutal persecution of Falun Dafa by the Chinese Communist regime.

Though it was raining continuously in the morning, the practitioners gathered outside the Consulate to condemn the unprecedented brutal persecution of Falun Gong. To raise awareness of the Chinese Communist Party regime's atrocities, they also displayed truth-clarifying posters and banners which read "Bring the Chief Perpetrators Jiang Zemin, Luo Gan, Liu Jing and Zhou Yongkang to Justice", "Stop the Persecution of Falun Gong", etc. Among the participants, some were veteran practitioners who personally participated in the historic April 25, 1999 Appeal, and some were new practitioners who had only recently learned the background story of this peaceful appeal. During the past 8 years of persecution, the world has gradually recognized the nonviolence, rationality and nobility of Falun Gong practitioners.

At the rally, a representative of the practitioners read an commemorating statement. The statement read: "In April 25, 1999, tens of thousands Chinese Falun Gong practitioners peacefully appealed to the Chinese government to safeguard the right of freedom of belief. The Appeal started a new page in the history of China as the first-ever peaceful large scale appeal to the notorious suppressive communist regime. Though the Chinese Communist Party soon started to persecute Falun Gong, the persecution also started the destruction process of the Party as the public gradually realized the Party's evil nature and all the horrific atrocities committed by it. By April 25, 2007, more than 21 million people have formally quit the evil Communist Party and its affiliated organizations. Falun Gong practitioners' courage to peacefully and rationally resist the persecution originate from the universal principles of 'Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance.' The practitioners who have defended the belief in these principles with their lives have built an eternal monument of the highest morality. As a historic event, the contribution of the April 25, 1999 Appeal to the Chinese society and the world is extraordinary and far-reaching."

The statement also urged staff members of the Chinese Consulate in Osaka to have the courage to learn about the truth and recognize the global trend of quitting the Chinese Communist Party, and to renounce the evil Party to ensure a good future for themselves.
