(Clearwisdom.net) On April 25, 2007, Austrian Falun Gong practitioners held a candlelight vigil in front to the Chinese Consulate in Vienna to commemorate the peaceful appeal by ten thousand Falun Gong practitioners on April 25 eight years ago in Beijing.

On this day eight years ago, ten thousand Falun Gong practitioners came to Beijing for a peaceful appeal, to request the release of the Falun Gong practitioners arrested in Tianjin and to express their hope that the Chinese government would understand Falun Gong and treat the practice justly. They explained that Falun Gong practitioners cultivate the principle of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance" and strive to be good people, and they hoped the government would give Falun Gong practitioners a lenient environment to practice their exercises. At that time, the Premier had a conversation with the representatives of the practitioners and the matter was resolved properly. Then, the Falun Gong practitioners dismissed peacefully and quietly.

Three months later however, Jiang Zemin, who was in power at that time, out of his jealousy launched an inhuman persecution against Falun Gong regardless the fact that Falun Gong practitioners are good persons and that cultivating Falun Gong is an absolute benefit to society. Over the past eight years, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has adopted a brutal persecution policy against hundreds of millions of law-abiding Falun Gong practitioners, and even harvests organs from living practitioners for profit.

This inhuman persecution has continued for nearly eight years. However, Falun Gong has not been overcome, but instead, has spread all over the world due to Falun Gong practitioners' anti-persecution efforts. The crimes of the CCP have also been exposed in front of the world's people.

Along with the more than 20 million withdrawals from the CCP, the root of the evil CCP has been pulled out. The knowledge that "Heaven extinguishes the CCP and one should quit the CCP to safeguard oneself" has become rooted in the hearts of the Chinese people.
