(Clearwisdom.net) On April 25 eight years ago, ten thousands Falun Gong practitioners went to the State Council Appeal Office near Zhongnanhai (the central government compound) in Beijing, for a peaceful appeal to request the release of 45 Falun Gong practitioners who had been unreasonably arrested in Tianjin. During the course of the 13-hour-long appeal, the practitioner were peaceful and non-threatening. At that time, the Premier met with representatives of the Falun Gong practitioners and the problem was resolved. Afterwards, the practitioners dismissed quietly. This was the famous "April 25 Peaceful Appeal." Falun Gong practitioners' rationality and peacefulness demonstrated the true manifestation of Falun Dafa to the world's people.

However, three months later, Jiang Zemin, with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) launched a brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. The persecution has lasted for nearly eight years.

On April 25, 2007, Falun Gong practitioners from Italy gathered outside the Chinese Consulate in Milan to protest the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong. Since 2001, practitioners have come here to clarify the truth and condemn the persecution. Among them, there are veteran practitioners who participated in the April 25 Appeal, and also new practitioners who obtained the Fa recently. They use their actions to demonstrate Dafa's dignity and expose the evilness and brutality of the persecution. This location, outside the Chinese Consulate in Milan, has become an important place for many Chinese people to quit the CCP, learn the truth, and even obtain the Fa.
