A Deputy Party Secretary and a Village Chief Receive Karmic Retribution for Their Involvement in the Persecution

Zhou Xuefeng, Deputy Secretary of the Communist Party Committee in Baigou Town, was in charge of the persecution of Falun Gong for the past several years. He gave many orders to the town police station and directors of security units of various streets and districts, requiring them to secretly follow and monitor Falun Gong practitioners. He offered a 500 yuan reward for reporting a practitioner to the authorities. Under Zhou's orders, police officers often harassed practitioners for no reason whatsoever. On the so-called "sensitive" days, they illegally arrested, beat, swore at, fined, and sent practitioners to forced labor camps. In early 2007, Zhou was driving in the area of Liangjiaying, when he collided with another vehicle and died instantly at the age of 39.

Zhang Heming was the director of Xiaoying Village, Baigou Town. Under the orders of Zhou Xuefeng and Gaoqiao Police Station, Wang Shiyong, often tore down Falun Dafa banners and reported on, and otherwise monitored the practitioners in his village. In early 2007 he suddenly suffered a cerebral hemorrhage after drinking alcohol. He lost consciousness after he was sent to Baoding Hospital, where he died in February 2007 at the age of 59.
