By a practitioner from China

(Clearwisdom.net) Recently I read an article on the Clearwisdom website entitled "How Should Practitioners Break Through Evil Interference Regarding Their Time?" (http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2007/5/7/85323.html) I would like to share my experience in this area with fellow practitioners.

After the persecution began on July 20, 1999, I was hired by a large state-owned company and took an important position within that company. Because this was a new company, there were lots of things that needed attention. The department I was running was responsible for the company's main business, something I was intimately familiar with. I had no choice but be busy all the time.

Before I started with that company I had sufficient time to study the Fa and do the exercises. But since I started working there, my schedule became extremely tight. I had to reduce my hours of sleep to make time for Fa study and for the exercises. Six hours of sleep became a wild dream for me. I thought the situation would improve after a while, and I tried my best to persist. However, the situation became even worse as time went on. The business never showed any sign of slowing. Sometimes I had to work until 5:00 a.m. the next morning to finish up work for the day. This time constraint interfered severely with my Fa study and with practicing the exercises.

I began to realize that this was wrong. Fellow practitioners noticed it as well. We had an exchange of opinions specifically for my situation, with regard to whether I should stay with the company or not. I had actually thought on my own about leaving the company, but it was too good a job to give up.

I got paid quite well, and I had business opportunities with highly placed people in society. Our sharing helped me realize my purpose for coming to this world was to cultivate Dafa, to validate the Fa, and return with Master to my true home. I came to this world not to pursue a good job or great benefits. As long as I have enough money for food and everyday needs, I will manage just fine. Finding another job shouldn't be a problem with my skills and knowledge. Besides, I am a Dafa practitioner endowed with Master's protection! So, I made up my mind to quit that job. Soon afterward I found another job with sufficient spare time. It turned out that my previous employer's high business cycle that kept me so busy lasted more than two years.

In June 2002, a foreign company hired me. By then, my abilities and skills had reached management level. The salary they offered me was even higher. The business I was responsible for extended to the whole nation and even to Hong Kong. I also had sufficient time to do the three things. After only two years in that company I was able to buy a good, high-quality house. I was very satisfied with this job and also made great progress in my career. I was able to get promotions and several salary increases in a year.

After I had studied the Fa though, I realized that during the time of the evil persecution, foreign companies investing in mainland China were actually assisting the evildoers. The main focus of the company I worked for then was investments in mainland China, all large scale investments. For the second time I made up my mind to quit the job.

Prior to Master teaching us this Fa principle [foreign companies investing in China are inadvertently aiding the persecution], I had poor realization of this effect. I was unaware of it. But now that Master has taught us the principles, it could mean I was knowingly committing a wrongdoing if I continued to support this company with my work. The day I quit that job, while doing the fifth exercise, the pain in my right knee that had bothered me for so long significantly lessened.

Later, the evildoers discovered that my house was used as a Falun Dafa materials production site. They confiscated supplies and the equipment. They also arrested my practitioner spouse and started to regularly monitor the house. Since that house could no longer function as a place to rescue sentient beings I asked my relatives to help me sell it. Although I loved that house very much, I needed to let go of human notions and attachments!

As Dafa practitioners during the Fa-rectification period we must put cultivation, validating the Fa and rescuing sentient beings first. As long as we have the basic necessities in our personal lives, we should be fine. As Master reminds us, the human world is just like a motel. We only came here to live for a short period of time. Our real home is not here! Therefore, no matter if we experience interference or issues with time management or in some other areas, we should always look inward. If indeed we can't figure out a good way to solve it, we should focus more on Dafa and the rescue of sentient beings instead of mulling over the situation again and again, not making up our minds. The truth is, our strong righteous thoughts help us hold our firm belief that Master has arranged everything well for us. Worrying about things indicates that human notions are interfering!
