Switzerland: Joyfully Celebrating Falun Dafa Day (Photos/Audio)

(Clearwisdom.net) On May 12, 2007, Swiss Falun Gong practitioners held a celebration event at the Rose Garden in the capital city of Berne to wish Master a Happy Birthday, mark the 15th anniversary of the introduction of Falun Dafa, and celebrate World Falun Dafa Day.

Simone has practiced Falun Gong for nearly nine years, and she told our reporter that Falun Dafa Day has a special meaning for her. "This is a very wonderful day for me; this day has a special significance because Falun Gong was first introduced to the public on this day. I have practiced Falun Gong for nearly nine years, and I feel this is very wonderful, very important. This is my life." (Sound recording)

She added that extremely positive changes took place after she started to practice Falun Gong. "As far as the body is concerned, I have become healthier, without having to worry about illnesses. I have changed a lot mentally as well. I am no longer only thinking about myself. I am doing a better job of looking within. All of these are very positive developments." (Sound recording)

Sibylle also saw a big change in her life after she started to practice Falun Gong. "My entire life has fundamentally changed after I began to practice Falun Gong. I often think about how to follow the three principles in my daily life - "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance". I often ponder if what I was thinking a moment ago accords with Truthfulness, or Compassion, or if it will harm others, or if it is tolerant, if it is fair to others, or if I was adhering stubbornly to my own opinions. When I see my own stubbornness, I would try to change myself. This has been a big change in my life." (Sound recording)

"I want to practise Falun Gong"

Having carefully reading the display boards, a lady asked where she could learn the exercises. After being told that the Rose Garden is an exercise site, she happily wrote down the schedule. Having seen Falun Gong today, she felt that she had found something worthwhile and planned to attend the group exercises.

"We must stop the persecution"

Apart from participating in various activities, Simone and Sibylle also made use of every opportunity to help more people know the facts about Falun Gong and helped to stop the persecution of good people happening in China.

Simone said, "I firmly believe that Falun Dafa is great. I feel that the persecution of Falun Gong is a shame, and it should not have happened. From my innermost being I want to tell people, 'Falun Dafa is great.'" (Sound recording)

Sibylle said, "Those being persecuted and I are the same Falun Gong practitioners, I can speak out my own opinions freely in this country, but they cannot. They have been imprisoned only because they expressed their own opinions. I don't think this is right. People need to try to stop it as long as the situation persists." (Sound recording)

This was the first time that Ms. Schreiber has heard about Falun Gong. After hearing the practitioners' explanation, she signed our petition to express her support for the Falun Gong practitioners. She said, "I am very happy to give my signature, because I support putting a stop to the persecution, which is very important. The injustice and the organ harvesting from living persons must be exposed, and we must put a stop to this. It is very important." (Sound recording)
