(Clearwisdom.net) On May 13, 2007, US Congressman James P. McGovern wrote to Falun Gong practitioners in Greater Worcester, Massachusetts. He said in the letter: "I am proud to write today to congratulate you on celebrating World Falun Dafa Day." Below is the text of the letter.

Greater Worchester Falun Dafa Practitioners:

I am proud to write today to congratulate you on celebrating World Falun Dafa Day. It has been 15 years since Mr. Li Hongzhi started publicly spreading Falun Dafa to the world community. This powerful spiritual practice that is based on the principles of truthfulness, compassion, and forbearance deserves to be commended.

Today you stand proudly with over 100 million people who practice Falun Dafa from 80 countries throughout the world. Despite the persecution that continues in China, these beliefs continue to thrive. This is a fact to be extremely proud of.

I regret that I cannot be with you to celebrate today, but again please accept my most sincere congratulations.
