(Clearwisdom.net) On May 13, 2007, it was sunny with a gentle wind. Falun Dafa practitioners in New England celebrated World Falun Dafa Day in Boston Park and expressed respect and appreciation to Master Li. They also called for help to rescue practitioner Cherrie Yang's mother, Yan Ning, who was arrested in Tianjin for distributing Falun Gong truth-clarification literature.

Political leaders, including Massachusetts State Representatives Salvatore F.DiMasi, Mark V. Falzone, Timothy J. Toomey, Jr., William N. Brownsberger, and Paul J. Donato, Senators Richard Tisei, and Robert A. Havern, Mayor Richard C Howard of Malden and Congressman James P. McGovern, sent congratulatory letters or proclamations to World Falun Dafa Day.

Falun Gong practitioners demonstrated the five exercises and performed music and dance, including chorus, a puppet play, waist drum performance, and a guitar performance. Tables were set up for collection of signatures to rescue Yan Ning, teaching people to fold paper lotus flowers, posters exposing CCP's persecution, and paintings of the Truth-Compassion-Tolerance Art Exhibition. Many passersby stopped to watch and take photos.

Practitioners of the waist drum team wore yellow costumes, which were eye catching under the sunshine. Spectators gave warm applause after watching their performance.

The chorus sang the songs "Coming for You," "Praising Master's Grace," and "Waves of Quitting the CCP." The songs won warm applause. Upon the request of spectators, the practitioners sang "Falun Dafa is Good" without accompanying music. The song touched people.

The art exhibition attracted many viewers. Many stopped in front of the paintings and viewed them carefully. A tourist told a practitioner, "These paintings are touching. The CCP persecutes kind-hearted people believing in 'Truth-Compassion-Tolerance'. That is too cruel."

After viewing the posters and watching the performances, many wished to know more about Falun Gong. A mother with her daughter asked if there were any classes suitable for her daughter. A practitioner told her about Minghui School.

Some people wanted to quit the CCP, but did not know how to do it. They saw the practitioners and actively asked about it. A Chinese man recently coming to the USA said that he heard people talking about quitting the CCP and its affiliated organizations in China. He took advantage of the opportunity in the US to quit CCP.

Reporter Glen Cooper of Boston NOW was interested in the waist drum play and took many special photos. He asked about Falun Gong and the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. He also was concerned about the CCP's arrest of MIT student Cherrie Yang's mother. Before leaving the park, he asked practitioners to mail more information to him.
