(Clearwisdom.net) May 13, 2007 marks the Eighth World Falun Dafa Day. Falun Gong practitioners from Melbourne held a series of activities on May 12 to celebrate the festival.

In the morning, practitioners went to Fitzroy Garden to do the exercises, where there are often a lot of Chinese tourists. After the exercises, practitioners took photos and wished Master a happy birthday. Then, practitioners held a celebration activity at the City Plaza. They demonstrated the history of Falun Dafa and how practitioners validate the Fa through dances, singing and demonstrations. Many people were attracted to the activities. Practitioners taught children how to make paper lotus flowers. The children also liked the yellow balloons of Falun Dafa Day.
Many people learned the facts of Falun Gong at the celebration. Some Chinese quit the CCP. Two Chinese students carefully listened to practitioners clarifying the facts and later they sincerely told practitioners that they now understood about the persecution in China.
Paul, an artist, was shocked by the facts of persecution. He expressed that it was a shame that the Australian Government bows to China for economic benefit. He said that the government should know what people want and should be just. He learned that Falun Gong practitioners sued the Minister of the Foreign Affair Department and won the case and he congratulated the practitioners.
Paul and his friends said that they didn't know this before, but they were glad to run into practitioners and learn all of this today. They hope that more people will pay attention to it, and they will tell their friends about it.
A gentleman, who had just came to Australia from China, told practitioners that he used to practice Falun Gong too, but he gave up after the persecution. He knows that Falun Dafa is good. He was very glad to run into practitioners today. Practitioners told him that Master didn't abandon him. He was deeply touched and moved to tears. He said that he sensed Master's benevolent calling.
