Massachusetts: Clarifying the Truth at the Harvard Square MayFair in Cambridge (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) The 24^th annual MayFair in Harvard Square started on May 6, 2007. This year, the festival occupied six major streets and visitors packed the entire area. About 200 community organizations, including Falun Gong, participated in this event. Falun Gong practitioners used this opportunity to clarify the truth about the Chinese Communist Party's persecution of Falun Gong.

Clarifying the Truth

During the festival, many people came to the Falun Gong booth to ask for more information. A resident of Cambridge came to the Falun Gong booth to inquire about why the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecutes Falun Gong. When she learned the truth of the CCP's atrocity of organ harvesting from living practitioners, she was very shocked and shook her head. She also learned about the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and the 21 million Chinese people who have quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. She immediately wanted to read the Nine Commentaries and took a copy to read at home.

Mr. Dod works in the Harvard Library. After he heard the facts, he took a copy of each item of truth-clarification literature to share with other Harvard University teachers and students.

Demonstrating the Falun Gong Exercises

After the practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises, a mother and daughter wanted to learn them at the site. A group of teenagers learned the exercises together and many people came in small groups of two or three to learn. Others asked for the schedule of free classes and said they wanted to learn Falun Gong at the group practice sites.

Two sisters learned the exercises on the site and said, "It feels good; my whole body is relaxed." They left their contact information and said they wanted to continue learning Falun Gong.

Lotus Flowers

The practitioners taught people how to make paper lotus flowers and further clarified the truth to expose the Communist Party's brutal persecution of Falun Gong.

A Japanese woman saw the lotus flowers and became very excited, "They are so beautiful!" She not only learned how to make the flowers but also took detailed instructions and many copies of the truth-clarification materials.

A young third-grade student and her sister and a classmate learned how to make lotus flowers together. As they listened to the truth-clarification while making the flowers, the youngster turned around to tell her mother about the content printed on the small card from time to time.

The MayFair was an opportunity for practitioners bring the beauty of Falun Dafa to the people of Harvard Square, expose the CCP's organ harvesting crimes, and spread the news that 21 million Chinese people have quit the Communist Party and its affiliated organizations. The purpose of all these activities is to awaken people's conscience and help end the persecution.
