Proclamation

Be it known that

Whereas,

The Health and welfare of our citizens is a primary concern; and,

Whereas,

Stress is a contributing factor in the majority of health issues. More than 100 million people in more than 60 countries practice Falun Dafa to deal with stress through a set of tranquil exercises; and,

Whereas,

The ancient Chinese meditation practice is based on the core principles of truthfulness, compassion and tolerance; and,

Whereas,

Falun Dafa practitioners are celebrating the 15^th Anniversary of Falun Dafa's introduction to the public with festivals and events here, across Texas and worldwide;

Now, Therefore,

I, Will Wynn, Mayor of the City of Austin, Texas, do hereby proclaim

May 13, 2007
