(Clearwisdom.net) Recently, the CCP regime arrested a Falun Gong
practitioner from Hong Kong and a family member of a Hong Kong Falun Gong
practitioner. The CCP officials claim they will arrest all Falun Gong
practitioners from Hong Kong who dare to go to Mainland China. To condemn the
persecution and its extension to Hong Kong, practitioners and their supporters
held a rally at Standard Garden on May 23, 2007. The rally Falun Gong practitioners and Mr. Leung Kwok-hung, a member of the Legislative
Council of Hong Kong, held a rally at Standard Garden on May 23, 2007. After the
rally, the attendees marched to the City Government, and submitted a letter of
appeal to Donald Tsang, the Chief Executive of Hong Kong, calling for help in
rescuing four Falun Gong practitioners from Hong Kong who were arrested and
imprisoned by the CCP regime last year. At the rally, some unidentified people came to take videos of practitioners.
Practitioners tried to stop them, but they insisted. Practitioners called upon
the CCP spies to stop their activities and stop providing information to the CCP. The CCP extends the persecution of Falun Gong to Hong KongMr. Kan
Hung-Cheung, the spokesman of the Falun Dafa Association in Hong Kong, pointed
out that one Falun Gong practitioner from Hong Kong and a family member of
another practitioner were arrested in Shenzhen on May 18 and 19. In the last
year, four Falun Gong practitioners and a family member from Hong Kong were
arrested, and some of them face illegal trials. Mr. Kan said that the arrests
are an indication that the CCP has extended its persecution of Falun Gong to
Hong Kong. Ms. Liu is a family member of a Falun Gong practitioner in Hong Kong. She was
arrested just because she attended an activity held on April 22 in Hong Kong to
support 20 Million withdrawals from the CCP. The CCP officials claimed that they
will arrest any practitioner in Hong Kong who enters Mainland China. One
policeman of the CCP told practitioners that the CCP videotaped the activity of
the "World Falun Dafa Day" celebration and has photos of every
attendee. Mr. Kan condemned the CCP's evil behavior. Calling upon Hong Kong Government to protect its citizens Mr. Kan pointed out that the CCP's spies harass Hong Kong citizens, violate
human right and interfere with people's freedom. He called for awareness of the
situation. Mr. Kan said: "The CCP has extended the persecution to Hong Kong. Their
spies take videos of our activities. We call upon the Hong Kong government to
pay more attention to this and not allow the CCP's spies to interfere with
citizens' activities." Mr. Kan pointed out that the Hong Kong government has the responsibility to
rescue the Hong Kong Falun Gong practitioners who are imprisoned in China, and
to protect Hong Kong citizens. Leung Kwok-hung: Hong Kong Government should help to rescue Falun Gong
practitionersMr. Leung Kwok-hung, a member of the Legislative Council of
Hong Kong, pointed out that the Hong Kong Government is responsible to help
rescue Falun Gong practitioners imprisoned in China. He said: "Many lawyers
in China, such as Gao Zhisheng, were persecuted because they helped Falun Gong
practitioners. I call upon the Hong Kong lawyers who are licensed in China to
offer help to Falun Gong practitioners. I also call upon the Lawyers'
Association in Hong Kong to pay attention to the persecution of Chinese
lawyers." Szeto Wah: The CCP has a blacklistMr. Szeto Wah, president of the
"Hong Kong Residents Supporting the China Democratic Movement Union",
who could not attend the rally, said that the CCP is still a tyrannical power
although it looks to be opening up at the surface level. Mr. Szeto said:
"The CCP is still attacking any expression of differing opinions and
violating the freedom of speech. I believe that people can tell from the arrests
of these Falun Gong practitioners that the political situation in China is still
very severe." Mr. Szeto said: "I believe there are many CCP's spies in Hong Kong, who
collect information and make a blacklist of Falun Gong practitioners. I hope
that people are aware of it." Mr. David Kilgour wrote to the Chief Executive of Hong Kong, calling for helpMr.
David Kilgour, a former Canadian Parliament Member and Secretary of State for
the Asia Pacific region, wrote to Mr. Donald Tsang, the Chief Executive of Hong
Kong, calling for help for Falun Gong practitioners. Mr. Kilgour expressed that
Ms. Fu, whose husband was arrested in Shenzhen on May 18, asked him for help.
Mr. Kilgour said that the Olympic Games should not be held in a country where
Falun Gong practitioners are being persecuted. He asked Mr. Tsang to help rescue
Mr. Fu. |
