Ex-Deputy Mayor Liu Zhengsheng from Jiangjin City Received Retribution after Burning Falun Gong Books (and Other Accounts of Karmic Retribution)

Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they too be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.

Liu Zhengsheng was deputy Mayor of Jiangjin City in July 1999, when Jiang's regime started persecuting Falun Gong. He took an active lead and issued orders to various departments in Jiangjin City, including instructing department managers to illegally arrest Falun Gong practitioners, to search practitioners' homes, and to confiscate Falun Gong books. The persecutors confiscated many Falun Gong videos and audio-tapes, as well as Master's portrait. Under Liu's orders these persecutors piled the confiscated Dafa materials at the Bingjiang Road Plaza and then poured gasoline onto the Dafa books. Liu Zhengsheng personally set fire to all and burned the books that the Dafa practitioners regarded as more precious than their own lives!

Within a month after Liu Zhengsheng had burned the books he went to his hometown, Yongchuan, to visit. He traveled at high speed on his way back along the Cheng-Yu Highway, ran off the highway, broke the highway guardrail and crashed. He died at the scene.

When the police examined the crashed vehicle they found five kilograms of heroin at the bottom of the vehicle. This deputy mayor whom the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) had called a "good official" was a major drug lord. The CCP quickly ordered a news blackout. The CCP was planning to praise him but hastily had to stop doing that.

There was a so-called "Law Enforcement Education Center" in Huaqiao Town, Xinjun, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province. It was actually a brainwashing center for persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. There were many cells in the center. Each cell detained one Falun Gong practitioner, closely monitored by two people. The practitioners detained in the center had to remain in their cells except for bathroom breaks. They were not even allowed to walk in the corridor. Every day between 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. the center played videotapes that slandered Falun Gong. Either the practitioner or a family member, or the practitioner's employers had to pay the expenses for the two personnel who closely monitored the practitioner, including salaries and board, as well as the practitioner's own boarding expense and the so-called "training fee," which amounted to 200-250 yuan per day. One of the wicked staff members of the center, surnamed Xie, had an especially bad attitude toward Dafa practitioners. She received her retribution in early November 2005, when she died in an automobile accident. She was just 40 years old.

The deputy supervisor at the Renshou County Police Department in Sichuan Province closely followed Jiang's regime and persecuted Dafa practitioners for a long period of time. He arrested and detained Falun Gong practitioners and humiliated them by parading them through the streets. He also interrogated, arrested and fined practitioners, ransacked their homes, and sent the practitioners to forced labor camps. He also tortured them savagely. He often sent police to practitioners' homes to harass them. He seriously interfered with the Dafa practitioners' rescue missions to explain the truth about Falun Gong to the people. This officer developed liver cancer in 2005 and died a month later, not yet 46 years old.

Xu Xiangchao, in his official position in Sanxi Township, Renshou County, Sichuan Province, followed Jiang Zemin's regime closely and persecuted Falun Gong practitioners. He often went to practitioners' homes to harass them, sent Falun Gong practitioners to detention centers, and ransacked their homes. Following hospitalization in 2003, Xu developed mental problems. Today he still easily gets lost and cannot find his way back after leaving his home.

Shi Ze, the principal of Taiping Town Elementary School, Gulan, Luzhou City, Sichuan Province followed the CCP closely to persecute Falun Gong. He actively cooperated with the CCP to fabricate rumors to slander and frame Falun Gong. On February 18, 2001, after the CCP staged the "Tiananmen Self-immolation" farce, he organized the students to sign their names to oppose Falun Gong. He personally led the students to demonstrate in the streets, forcing the teachers and students to take part in the persecution. Shi Ze died that same night. The next morning his wife discovered his body.

It is heavens' law that good or evil will be get their just rewards. This article is written not because of hatred. It is written in hope that those people who are still taking part in the persecution will wake up and learn from the examples, in hopes they can immediately stop their evildoing and have a good future.
