Police in Changchun, Jilin Province Rampantly Arrest Practitioners and Search Their Homes

(Clearwisdom.net) Since March 2007, many practitioners in Changchun have been arrested, persecuted, and had their homes searched by the police and Public Security Bureau agents in their local districts. It seems that every two or three days several practitioners are arrested. Dozens of practitioners have recently been taken into custody.

This is what has been happening: The police go to a practitioner's home and then deceive him or her into opening the door for them. If that ploy is not successful, they either use the locksmith they've brought with them or call one. Then they break into the home, illegally search it, and confiscate any Falun Dafa materials and related items. They then illegally arrest the practitioner. The police from the Erdao and Luyuan districts are the most active. At present, there are quite a few practitioners illegally detained at the National Security Division of the Luyuan District Public Security Bureau. On May 9, there were probably five or six female practitioners arrested. On May 10, Wu Shengnan and Shu Guifang were arrested at their workplace.

The recent arrests were conducted quite savagely and had a chain reaction. The scope of arrests could also expand.
