Ms. Qiu Shuangying Taken to the Tangxun Lake Brainwashing Center in Wuhan, Hubei Province

On May 15, 2007, at 4 o'clock in the afternoon, three police officers, including Deng Guobin and Yu Meng from the Yunmeng County National Protection Brigade, went to the clothing shop in Yunmeng County where practitioner Ms. Qiu Shuangying works and took her away.

These police officers savagely beat Qiu Shuangying in front of bystanders. They then called over 10 more officers and took her to the Yunmeng Detention Center. At 8 o'clock in the evening, Ms. Qiu's home was broken into and searched. Her computer and other belongings worth over 10,000 yuan were confiscated. Ms. Qiu went on a hunger strike in the detention center and was inhumanly force-fed on the sixth day of her hunger strike. On the afternoon of May 21, 2007, they took her to the Tangxun Lake Brainwashing Center in Hubei Province.
