New Jersey, USA: Falun Gong Comes to Princeton 2007 Communiversity Arts Festival (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) The Art Council of the City of Princeton and the student body of Princeton University jointly hosted the 2007 Communiversity Festival of Arts on April 28 along Nassau street in downtown Princeton. It was a pleasant spring Saturday afternoon and the street was packed with visitors.

The Falun Gong booth was decorated with banners of "Falun Dafa" "Truthfulness Compassion Tolerance" in both English and Chinese. Around the booth, display boards pictured how Falun Dafa has spread to world. A few practitioners in golden yellow exercise suite were demonstrating Falun Gong. The other practitioners passed out truth-clarification materials to the visitors.

Compared to previous years, more people were already aware of Falun Gong and the persecution. Many chanted even they were still far away, "Falun Gong!" Some said, "I know Falun Gong." "I know Falun Gong has experienced persecution." Others asked, "Do you have new information?" For those who heard about Falun Gong for the first time, they were shocked to the evil persecution from Chinese Communist Party and can't tolerate the organ harvesting atrocities. The members from local Red Cross and Amnesty International took the investigation reports published by two Canadian independent investigators and left their contact information for future cooperation to expose the CCP's evil deeds. Practitioners also talked to Chinese visitors about quiting the Communist Party and its affiliated organizations.

Around noon, Congressman of New Jersey Mr. Rush Holt came to the Falun Gong booth. Mr. Holt was a professor at Princeton University before elected to Congress. He has been a firm supporter of efforts to stop the persecution over the years. He said he was happy to meet Falun Gong practitioners at such a community event and asked about learning the exercises locally.

Many westerners are interested in the elegant Falun Gong and wanted to learn the exercises. They were happy to learn that the teachings are free and the materials can be downloaded from Internet free. They took the introductory materials and said they would check it out after going home. Some of them learned the first exercise at the booth and said it felt good.
