(Clearwisdom.net) The following are two practitioners' experiences, which disturbed me greatly for a long period of time. In validating Dafa, many Fa principles were understood after fellow practitioners sacrificed their lives. The determined righteous thoughts of the practitioners made their lives shine in the Fa-rectification process.
1. A practitioner was very determined to intercept the television signals in order to spread the truth of Dafa and to save sentient beings. He also had great Buddha Law divine power. However, the authorities still persecuted him and he lost his life. Since he had such great divine power, how was he still persecuted and killed? When this practitioner was doing a Dafa project, he said things like, "Heads will roll for this." The evil seized upon such a thought and would not let it go. Even when our benevolent Master and the Fa-protecting gods wanted to help, they could do nothing.
In my mind, there very often occurred thoughts like how to face the police, how to have "stern righteousness," how we can "lay down our lives for a just cause," etc. I also discovered that some practitioners believed that after being sent to a forced labor camp, they would have more mighty virtue. They even regard how much Fa you can memorize and recite as the criteria for judging your level!
What is the source of all these thoughts? You want to be admired and praised and become a so-called "hero." It is the same as showing off and validating yourself. The issue is your attachment to fame that has been deeply hidden.
"Our Falun Dafa protects students from going wrong. And how does it protect you? Our Law Wheel protects you if you're a true cultivator. My roots are all deeply planted in the universe, and if someone could affect you, he could affect me, and to put it directly, he'd be able to affect the universe." (Zhuan Falun, 2003)
What is meant by, "affecting you?" Excluding the factors of individual cultivation, during the Fa-rectification period, when you are interrogated, fined, detained, beaten, force-fed, sentenced, and had your organs harvested and murdered, all these have to different extents "affected" Dafa practitioners.
Dafa protects practitioners, but not ordinary people. When your xinxing is not completely within the Fa, you will be affected by many human attachments and you will be persecuted. In human history, there are many stories about "laying down your life for a just cause" and "dying to show one's determination." They might be the experiences of practitioners in their previous lives. However, today we shoulder our great mission and responsibility. We have our human bodies and we display in a positive way the beauty of Dafa to the world's people. We do not need the company of the evil to prove anything. Master told us that no matter whether there is persecution or not, the Fa-rectification is sure to succeed and Dafa disciples are sure to succeed.
My personal understanding is that no one can affect practitioners. Maintain righteous thoughts every minute. Use the Fa to judge every single thought in your mind and completely deny the old forces. Then we won't be persecuted as a result of being affected by our human attachments. Neither will the evil have any loopholes to exploit. We should be determined to fulfill Master's guidance.
2. In August 1999, when the CCP slandered Master on television, there was a 12-year-old little practitioner in Shenyang City who thought: "They should not persecute Master. I should go to Beijing to reason with them." She thought of nothing but packing a small school bag and started off. Where is Beijing? How far is it? How could she get there? She did not give it a single thought. She just looked at the sun for direction when she stepped out the door before she actually went south. This little girl walked for one day out of the city. She went to a graveyard when it was getting dark. At this time, the little girl started to feel scared, but she still mustered her courage and walked ahead. Very soon, she came to another graveyard when it was almost completely dark. How far away was Beijing? She had no idea.
In the dark wilderness, there were graveyards all over the place. The little girl was so scared she started crying. She called out into the wilderness as she cried, "Master, where are you?"
The moment she stopped, there came a loud and clear voice from all around, "My child, I am right beside you."
She then felt that the scene before her became brighter and brighter until she could hardly keep her eyes open. She instinctively closed her eyes and suddenly felt a little bit dizzy. When she re-opened her eyes, she found herself standing in Tiananmen Square and beside her was a Dafa practitioner.
My fellow practitioners, in every single moment, do you ever think that Master is right beside us, protecting us and enlightening us? Only if we have righteous thoughts and behavior will we have divine power and be omnipotent. If we genuinely believe in Master and the Fa, everything will change.
Today everything is displayed for us and everything relies on us to be created for the future.
