On April 18, 2007, someone reported Ms. Shen Yuanhui when she was distributing truth clarification materials in Guangzhou City. Police officers confiscated some of her personal belongings and detained her in the Yuexiu District Detention Center.

Ms. Shen was 33 years old and previously worked at Guangfa Securities. In February 2001, officials from the Haizhu District 610 Office, Jiangnan Middle Street Office, and the residential committee arrested her and took her to the Haizhu District Brainwashing Center. Ms. Shen suffered physical and mental torture, including sleep deprivation for a month. In December 2002, Ms. Shen and a dozen other practitioners suffered the "tied-up torture" -- guards wrap practitioners with a rope and tightened it until circulation is cut off and hang practitioners up in the air for a long time. Ms. Shen suffered this torture six times. She was paralyzed for six months and today there are still internal injuries. She no longer can lift heavy objects. No family visits during that time, so no one could see her in this condition. Afterward, Ms. Shen was transferred from the Haizhu District Brainwashing Center to the Guangzhou City Brainwashing Center where she was detained for over a year. In April 2004, she was released. On November 9, 2004, staff from the Haizhu District 610 Office arrested Ms. Shen again and took her to the Lubao Brainwash Center in Sanshui City, Guangdong Province. She was detained until June 2005.

At 8:30 a.m. on April 27, 2007, Mr. Leng Fuyun and his entire family of three were taken to court police car and were illegally put on trial. They are currently detained at the Jingyu County Detention Center.

On April 28, 2007, practitioners Mr. Gao Yuping and Ms. Zhai Fengying went to Ershilibao Village in Songzhangzi Township to clarify the truth. Liu Bo, secretary of the village, arrested and took them to the Songzhangzi Police Station. Police tried to extort 15,000 yuan for their release. They refused to pay and were the taken to the Lingyuan Public Safety Bureau. They are now imprisoned at the Lingyuan City Second Detention Center.

In the evening of April 25, 2007, police from Xuanwu District arrested Ms. Cheng Shuxia, 65, at her home. She lives in Building 6 at the Tianxin Housing, Huoying Residential Area, Changping District. They also confiscated some of her Dafa books.

At 3:00 p.m. on April 26, 2007, officers from the Qinghe Police Station arrested Ms. An Lixiang (retiree from Beijing Normal University) and another person who was visiting at the time. Their whereabouts are unknown.

Practitioner Ms. Dong Lixin is from Hongqiao District, Tianjin City. On April 27, 2007, police officers from the Guangrongdao Police Station illegally arrested her when she was in Guangrongdao, Hongqiao District, distributing truth clarification materials.

In the evening of April 27, 2007, a policeman was beating a male practitioner under a bridge in Daxing District in Beijing, because he clarified the truth. The police stepped on him and beat him. Later the officer dragged the practitioner into a police car and took him away.

On October 24, 2006, Xuhui District police arrested practitioners Ms. Li Yan and Mr. Zhou Mao because they were distributing truth clarification materials. On April 18, 2007, the Xuhui District Court sentenced them both to a three year term. In 2001, they were illegally sentenced to two years of forced labor.

9. [Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province] Practitioner Ms. Qiu Liying and Mr. Liang Yening Arrested

On April 27, 2007, the Shijiazhuang City Middle Court put practitioner Ms. Wang Bo and her family on trial without legal cause. Court officials arrested Ms. Qiu Liying and Mr. Liang Yening for sending righteous thoughts while in court.

On the morning of April 24, 2007, Ms. Hao Shuxia clarified the truth in the Fulong Market. Someone reported her to the police and she was arrested. The police took Ms. Hao to the Wanzhuang Police Station and tortured her. At 4:00 p.m. on April 26, 2007, police ransacked her home and confiscated some of her belongings.

At noon on April 18, 2007, police from the Yi County Public Safety Bureau arrested practitioner Mr. Jia Dong at home, in Songshan Village, Yi County. They confiscated some of his belongings. Mr. Jia's whereabouts are unknown.

On the morning of April 26, 2007, six plain-clothes police officers broke into practitioners Ms. Zhang Zongsu and Mr. Li Guocai's house and arrested them. The officers confiscated some of their belongings, including computers and printers. They were first taken to the Diaoyutai Police Station in Tangshan and later transferred to the Tangshan City First Detention Center in Hebei Province. Ms. Zhang is on a hunger strike.

On April 25, 2007, practitioners Ms. Cheng Shuxiang and Ms. Du Shuqing from Jinan City were arrested and taken to a detention center for women.

Practitioner Mr. Yang Songyu from Qingdao City and his over 80 year-old father were watching the Falun Dafa lecture videos at home and someone reported them to the police. On April 25, 2007, police from the Beizhong Road Police Station in North District, Qingdao, broke into Mr. Yang's house and arrested him. Mr. Yang is still detained in the Beizhong Road Police Station.

In December 2006, officers from the Electronic Research Institute Public Safety Bureau in Lishan and Lintong Public Safety Bureau arrested practitioner Ms. Jin Rong for clarifying the truth. Ms. Jin was detained at the Lintong Detention Center for over 50 days. Staff from the Lintong Public Safety Bureau sentenced Ms. Jin to a one year and two month term, to be served at the Shaanxi Province Women's Forced Labor Camp. She suffered torture at the labor camp.

On September 1, 2006, practitioner Mr. Gao Mantang was arrested and imprisoned in the Sanyao Village Detention Center in Chang'an County, Xi'an City. Mr. Gao is now facing a trial without having been legally charged for anything.

Practitioner Ms. Chai Xiufang, 50, is also detained in the Sanyao Village Detention Center in Chang'an County. She is now very weak.

In April 25, 2007, police confiscated practitioner Ms. Xu Huiying's personal belongings and arrested her. Ms. Xu was from Shiqiao Town, Jianyang City. She is now held at the Lezhi County Detention Center in Sichuan Province.

Between 10:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m. on April 26, 2007, Wei Minggai, head of the Chenxi County 610 Office in Huaihua City, and a dozen national security officers broke into over ten practitioners' houses and confiscated some of their personal belongings. Four practitioners were arrested, including Ms. Tang Xiaomei, Mr. Ou Jiafa, and Mr. Zhang Lin.

On April 27, 2007, police arrested a female practitioner, around 50 years old. She is from Quxi Village in Dongwancheng, Guangdong Province. Police also confiscated her computer and printer.

Practitioners Ms. Xu Yunzhi, in her fifties, and Ms. Tan Ping, 41 years old, are from Lanjiang Town, Anju District, Suining City. On April 24, 2007, they were distributing truth clarification materials in Hebian Town, Daying County. A patrol officer arrested them and detained them in the Daying County Detention Center.

On the morning of March 28, 2007, practitioner Ms. Wang Molian was arrested. Her whereabouts are unknown.

After arresting practitioners Ms. Liu Xueqin and Mr. Zhu Guilin's family, the Zhuzhou City police arrested practitioner Mr. Tang Hao on April 21, 2007.

On April 9, 2007, practitioner Mr. Xiang Shiqing and a female practitioner were clarifying the truth in Yueliangyan, Guiyang City. Police arrested them and detained them in the Nanming District Detention Center in Guiyang City. On April 25, 2007, they were taken to the Lannigou Brainwashing Center in Guiyang City where they were subjected to cruel torture.

At 2:30 p.m. on March 14, 2007, guard Jiao Guiping from the education division of the 6^th Brigade and several others handcuffed practitioner Mr. Wu Yu behind his back and shocked him with electric batons for a long time. The guards first forced Mr. Wu to kneel and then the electrically shocked Mr. Wu on his face and neck with a high voltage current. Mr. Wu yelled "Falun Dafa is good!" The guards then beat him until he fell to the ground and continued shocking him with electric batons. The torture lasted two hours. The guards stopped torturing him, as it was the end of their shift. They left Mr. Wu handcuffed to an iron door in a hallway. Mr. Wu later went on a hunger strike to protest the torture.

Practitioner Ms. Li Junping from Kunming City was arrested on April 18, 2007. She is now detained at No. 133, Zhangjialou, Dianchi Rd., Kunming City, Yunnan Province.

At 10:00 p.m. on April 26, 2007, Liu Jixiang, captain of National Security of the Hanzhou City Public Safety Bureau, and two officers broke into practitioner Ms. Wang Aiqing's house and confiscated Teacher's picture and truth clarification materials.
