Believing That Falun Dafa Is Good and Having Compassionate Thoughts Resolve Danger

Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Li often told her daughter some principles of Falun Dafa and stories of good being rewarded with good, and evil with evil. Her daughter also believes in Falun Dafa and carries a charm amulet (1).

The daughter was riding a motorcycle on her way home one day when she came to a red light at an intersection. She saw that no cars were coming so she went through the red light. All of a sudden a motorcycle appeared and collided into her motorcycle. The impact caused her to fly several meters away and her helmet was smashed.

While she was lying on the ground she asked herself, "Am I all right?" She moved her body parts, and she was fine. She thought, "Since it was me who ran through the red light, then I should lie on the ground to avoid trouble. I can leave after the car that hit me goes away." Then she had another thought, "I cannot do this. Mother's Master said, 'We'd say that a good or bad outcome comes from one thought. The difference in one thought leads to different results.' ("The Fourth Talk" from Zhuan Falun, 2003 translation version) If I lie like this, maybe I will really be injured." Therefore she got up and apologized to the other person, and repaired both motorcycles. Though she spent several hundred yuan, she felt comfortable in her heart.

After she got home, she said to her mother from her heart, "Mum, this time I really believe that Falun Dafa is good. If I hadn't carried the Falun Dafa charm amulet, I don't know what I'd look like from this collision."

The next day she went to work as usual and everything was fine. This again witnessed the wonder of Falun Dafa.

At around 12 o'clock on December 11, 2006, several shops on a busy commercial street of a famous tourist city in Sichuan Province caught on fire. My family's shop was one of them. After my family and I heard about the fire, we immediately rushed to the burning site. On my way there I was so worried, thinking that I just bought several hundred thousand yuan worth of goods. Losing all of that to fire would be a huge loss to me.

At that moment, I suddenly remembered that some people who practice Falun Gong had told us that reciting silently with a true heart, "Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance is good" can resolve the danger. So both of us immediately started to silently recite these two sentences. When we arrived at the site, the fire had not yet been put out. Since these shops are old wooden houses, even the wall was built with wood. Once one catches fire, they would all burn, and nothing would be left.

At that moment we really had no thoughts other than constantly reciting "Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance is good." Some people stood with us, but no one could do anything.

Right while we were watching the fire burning down our shops, a miracle occurred. The burning fire seemed to hit a wall. When the flames rolled to our shop, they rolled back and then the fire gradually diminished. Later the firefighters came and put it out. The shops, houses and clothes in the stores on the right side of our shops were all burned. All shops on the other side starting from my shop survived.

My shop and everything inside the shop were all intact. The only loss that occurred was two pieces of clothing being wet from the two firefighters putting out the fire.

The next day, people passing by were all astonished that my family's shop was intact. They all sighed, some said this family must have worshiped Bodhisattva, and some said this family was really fortunate.

This incident has spread among the public. The people could hardly believe the miracle. Only my family and I understood that it was because we believed the words of Falun Gong practitioners. We were blessed and escaped this disaster.

In the past, my family had torn apart truth-clarifying materials that Falun Gong practitioners gave us, under the influence of the slandering propaganda on TV. My family said they would never do this again. Falun Gong has people believe in "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance." This is the most important thing as a human. Falun Dafa practitioners are the most trustworthy people in the world.

(1) Amulet - In China, practitioners sometimes clarify the truth by giving people something small to wear or cherish, bearing a few words reminding them of the goodness of Dafa.
