Ms. Zhang Baoying from Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province Dies as a Result of Long-Term Persecution

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioners Ms. Zhang Baoying and her husband Mr. Jiao Yutian lived west of Longfeng Factory in Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province. Because they both kept cultivating Falun Dafa and following the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance, they were harassed, threatened, and mistreated by their employer, the 610 Office, and local police under the persecution of Falun Gong in China. Mr. Jiao Yutian died in July 2003, and Ms. Zhang Baoying died on May 20, 2007 after being harassed, robbed, and threatened with arrest by police officer Li Jingzhu, (male) among others.

Ms. Zhang Baoying, 68, started practicing Falun Dafa in 1998. Her husband, Mr. Jiao Yutian, started practicing in 1996. They both became very healthy mentally and spiritually, and all their chronic diseases, such as heart problems and high blood pressure, disappeared.

In order to speak the truth and validate Falun Dafa, Ms. Zhang and her husband did Falun Gong exercises outdoors after the persecution started in 1999. They were arrested by police officers from the Ziqiang Station (under the Longfeng District Department) and detained in Daqing City Detention Center. Center Head Sun Hengli (male) said they "disturbed the social order." Mr. Jiao Yutian replied, "We did not disturb the social order by exercising, but you are by arresting us." Sun Hengli and Central CCP Head Qin Xiaodong brutally beat him. Several male Falun Dafa practitioners were also detained in the Longfeng District Detention Center.

Inside the detention center, practitioners were not allowed to do the exercises or talk. They lived in very bad conditions, and the guards cursed them often.

Mr. Jiao Yutian was released after one month. Upon returning home, the district 610 Office, his employer, and local police constantly harassed and threatened him, and tried to force him and his wife to give up practicing. Mr. Jiao Yutian was living under huge pressure. He appeared to have esophageal cancer in March 2002. He was arrested again even with such a health problem, and his home was ransacked. Police released him after his family showed the doctor's diagnosis. He died in July 2003.

Mr. Jiao's death put his wife under huge mental stress. The local police harassed her many times. In November 2006, local police officer Li Jingzhu led 6-7 policemen and stormed into her home, took her Falun Dafa books, and forced her write a guarantee statement to stop practicing Falun Gong.

On March 7, 2007, Li Jingzhu came to her home to harass her again together with a group of neighborhood administrators. They came back the next day, stole her Falun Dafa books and materials, and insisted on taking her under custody. Ms. Zhang Baoying was under extreme stress, and on May 20, 2007 she suffered a stroke and died.
