"Are You a Human Being or a Divine Being?"

One day, when a fellow practitioner went to the police station requesting the return of her ID card, the police officers illegally detained her and fear uncontrollably crept into her heart. She could not stop her legs from trembling. Another practitioner, who accompanied her, asked her, "Are you a human being or a divine being?" She responded, "I am a divine being!" She was asked three times, and her answer "I am a divine being" became firmer and firmer. She thought to herself, "This fear is not me!" At that moment, her legs stopped trembling. Her heart became calm and settled, and in the end, she received her ID without a glitch.

Hearing about this experience, I realized that Dafa disciples are clarifying the truth as divine beings, not as humans. What we need to have are righteous thoughts, not human notions. At critical moments, we must think like divine beings. Teacher said:

"Deal with everything you are faced with as a cultivator, and you will be able to overcome anything. You should ask yourself: if a divine being were faced with this problem, how would he handle it? When you can't make it through, that's what you should be thinking. Just try to make it through and handle it that way, and see what happens." ("Teaching the Fa in San Francisco, 2005")

When we are faced with difficulties and are looking the evil in the eye, if we then firmly think, "I am a divine being," there is nothing we cannot get through.
