(Clearwisdom.net) On June 7, 2007, organizations including Supporting Human Rights in China (SHRIC) held a rally at Currency Square in the city center of Stockholm. The rally called on people to pay attention to the problem of human rights violations in China and to ask the Swedish Government to openly talk about human rights with visiting Chinese leaders. The rally also appealed to the Chinese Government to immediately stop the persecution of spiritual groups including Falun Gong.

Banners raised at the rally were: "Supporting the Human Rights of China," "Investigation Proves the CCP Removes Organs from Living Falun Gong Practitioners," and "Supporting 20 Million Brave People Who Have Quit the CCP".

Representatives from SHRIC, the Tibetan Association, the Uygur Association, and the Service Center for Quitting the CCP gave speeches calling on people to pay attention to the problem of human rights in China, and calling on Swedish Government, which cherishes democracy and freedom; groups; and individuals to send a strong voice to support human rights in China.

Carin Hagg, Svan Bergstrom, and Cecila Wigstrom, three Swedish Members of Parliament, also spoke at the rally.

Cecila Wigstrom condemned the CCP organ harvesting atrocities and China's Internet blockade. She called on the Swedish government to take concrete action and confront China directly to help end these practices.

Kong Binjian, a Falun Gong practitioner, told about his experience of having been illegally arrested and taken to forced labor camps five times by the CCP because of his refusal to give up practicing Falun Gong. The fifth time he was arrested, because he refused to tell his name, a policeman threatened him that they would take him to an isolated place. He later realized that that the isolated place was a concentration camp where Falun Gong practitioners' organs were being removed.

A representative from the local Falun Dafa Association said that practitioners have collected over ten thousand signatures from Swedish civilians calling for a stop to the organ harvesting atrocities. These signatures were to be submitted to the Government that day, urging the Government to talk about Falun Gong when Hu Jintao, the President of China, visits Sweden.
