Many Residents of Long Island, New York Wish to Learn Falun Gong (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) During spring and summer, there are many busy street market activities in Long Island, New York. Practitioners in Long Island have participated in some of the events. Each time, many local residents have expressed their intension to learn Falun Gong and to learn the facts about the persecution.

Some street market events were held alongside the street. Many residents passing by in cars saw the practitioners' exercise demonstration, posters, and banners. There were also events held inside schools, where teachers, staff and parents of students accepted truth-clarification materials. Some events were held on busy streets where many local residents expressed their intension to learn Falun Gong.

On June 10, 2007, the annual festival in Smithtown began. More than four hundred companies and individual businesses from Long Island set up booths in the early morning. Falun Gong practitioners took advantage of the early morning to hand out truth-clarification literature to the staff at the business and company booths. People were pleased to accept the literature and read attentively.

Falun Gong practitioners hung a banner with words "Falun Dafa is Good" and images showing exercises. A table with truth-clarification literature was placed beside the banner. Some practitioners sent forth righteous thoughts, some distributed literature, some practiced the exercises, and some exposed the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) brutal persecution of Falun Gong and the CCP atrocities of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners.

Many residents said that this is what they need, after hearing about Falun Dafa's principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Many residents wished to learn about Dafa and asked more questions.

Practitioners in Long Island said that they would participate in more local events, including events on the beach and at the library, the balloon festival, and other celebration activities, so that more Long Island residents can learn about Dafa.
