Mr. Li was arrested again by the police on February 6, 2007. At the beginning of March, he was sent to Suihua Forced Labor Camp for one and a half years.

Below is a partial account of the persecution Li Shuwen has had to endure

Li Shuwen, in his 30's, is one of many practitioners who have been persecuted nonstop by the Chinese Communist Party since July 20, 1999.

In March 2001, when Li Shuwen went to Tiananmen Square to appeal for justice for Falun Dafa, he was arrested and taken to the Tiananmen Square Police Station. The police punched him and used electric batons to shock him. They hung him up with his hands tied behind his back and tortured him for five hours. He was black and blue all over.

After Li Shuwen returned home and went back to work, the local security section head, Wang You, interrogated him about the days he was absent. When Wang and others learned that Mr. Li had gone to Beijing to appeal for Dafa, they arrested him and imprisoned him in the Shuangyashan City Mineral Bureau Detention Center. Li Shuwen escaped from the detention center with the help of righteous thoughts, but had to move from place to place to avoid arrest. At that time, in April, in the northern part of China, the snow had not completely melted and it was still very cold. Mr. Li went into in the mountains for about ten days. Without any food, he only drank the water that melted during the afternoon. He didn't have any warm clothes. Ten days later, Li Shuwen left the mountains and found a place to live.

Shortly after, however, he was taken away again by the police. He was imprisoned in the Shuangyashan City Mineral Bureau Detention Center again. In order to retaliate for his previous escape, the police imposed crueler sanctions against him. On the third day, Li Shuwen managed to flee the detention center again, but he knew that he could not return to his family. The police then issued a warrant for his arrest.

On November 8, 2001, Mr. Li was recognized by someone when he was making a phone call. He was traced, arrested, and then detained. Later he was taken to the Suihua Forced Labor Camp.

In the notorious Suihua Labor Camp, Mr. Li did not give up his faith in Dafa. He was detained in a separate cell, tied up on an iron chair, shocked with electric batons, beaten, and kicked. In 2002, Gao Zhonghai (political head), Fan Xiaodong (team leader), Zeng Lingjun (deputy team leader), Li Jian (guard), Yang Bo (political head), Diao Xuesong (guard), and Shi Jian (guard) beat him to the floor. The used several electric batons simultaneously to shock him. They used all kinds of tortures to try to force him to give up his belief in Falun Dafa. The guards also instigated criminals to beat and verbally abuse Mr. Li.

By the end of 2003, Li Shuwen was released unconditionally.

On February 6, 2007, Li Shuwen was again arrested by the police from the Qixing Mine when he posted some truth-clarification materials. That night around eight o'clock, police officer Liu Guanghui from the Qixing Mine police department ransacked Li Shuwen's home. They took away a laptop computer, a printer-fax-copy machine, two cellphones and other personal belongings.

Li Shuwen was once again sentenced to forced labor for one and a half years. He was taken to the Suihua Forced Labor Camp at the beginning of March.

Li Shuwen's wife and eleven-year-old son now live a difficult life without any source of income. They have suffered as a result of the Party's persecution for many years and had to rely on Mr. Li doing odd jobs to support them. Their living conditions are terrible and the child has malnutrition and renal failure, with no money for treatment.
