Ms. Zhu Yazhen Became Mentally Disordered in Heizuizi Labor Camp in Changchun City, Jilin Province

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhu Yazhen lives in Erdaobaihe Town, Antu County, Jilin Province. On the afternoon of April 20, 2007, she was arrested at her home by State Security Agents and the police. She was later sentenced to 18 months of forced labor and was detained in Heizuizi Labor Camp in Changchun City. After less than a month, she became mentally disordered.

On the morning of May 23, 2007, Ms. Zhu's husband and son, as well as other family members, went to visit her, but she could not recognize any of them. Her mind was unclear and she had become mentally disordered.

Her family immediately questioned the guards in the Fourth Ward. The guard replied, "Zhu Yazhen was like this when she arrived." Her husband exclaimed, "She was perfectly fine at home before she was arrested by you! How come you tortured a normal person to this degree?" The guard then said, "She was fine when we accepted her. Maybe the local police shocked her."

Ms. Zhu's family immediately requested to see the camp director. The security guards blocked them, forcing them to wait by the gate in the freezing cold rain for more than an hour. When the family asked if they could wait in the security room to warm up, the guards cold-heartedly said, "You can go home if it is too cold." Ms. Zhu's husband criticized the guards, "Don't you work for the people? As such, you should think of the people. If you will not help us see the director, please sign your name to be responsible for my wife's well being and then we will leave immediately."

After a long wait, Director Tian (female, first name unknown) appeared at the gate. She said that they would have Ms. Zhu checked and the family would get a diagnosis the next Wednesday.

The following Wednesday, Ms. Zhu's family arrived at the camp on time. The result of the check up was that Ms. Zhu is now mentally disordered. Her family strongly urged the camp to release her, but the camp administration has still not agreed.
