A Two-Year-Old Dafa Disciple Helps Us See Our Shortcomings

(Clearwisdom.net) One of our local practitioners has a two-and-a-half-year-old grandson. When he started to learn to speak, this practitioner began to teach him to recite Lunyu and other articles by Teacher. In this manner, day after day, the infant learned to talk in the process of reciting Teacher's articles. I was once concerned about this practitioner's ways. I questioned if such a young baby, who hardly knows anything except for eating and drinking milk, could calm down to recite Teacher's articles.

As time went by, my concerns disappeared. Every time I visited this practitioner, if his grandson was home, he would give me a surprise. Sometimes he looked at Teacher's picture and called out, "Master." At present, he is two-and-a-half years old. Every time we visit, the young grandson will recite aloud Teacher's articles to us. He is now able to recite many poems from Hong Yin.

This practitioner said, when playing with other children in the neighborhood, the toddler often recites aloud from Hong Yin. The children and parents alike would listen. Once, the practitioner's daughter-in-law (not a practitioner) said some dirty words, and this practitioner told her that she would create karma by speaking that way. The grandson immediately added, "You will lose de (virtue) by doing that."

Another time, my daughter and I went to visit this practitioner. His grandson took some materials from the practitioner and handed them to me, saying clearly, "Grandma, these are Dafa materials." I was surprised at how this child could know so many things. I said, "Even the young baby tells us to distribute truth-clarification materials and save sentient beings!" On the way back home, both my daughter and I realized that even this baby could recite Teacher's articles, so we ourselves have to look within and catch up. No matter how busy things get, we have to set aside time to study the Fa, recite the Fa, and also place Fa study as the highest priority. When coming back from this practitioner's home that day, we distributed truth-clarification materials along the way, and we did not return home until we had finished distributing all the materials.

There was another incident that was even more amazing. One day, this practitioner and his family, including the young grandson, went out shopping. On the way back home, it started to rain. Because nobody brought an umbrella, everyone began to hurry. At that moment, the baby cried out, "Teacher, please help me." Upon arriving home, everyone was soaked, that is, all except for the baby who was not wet at all. Everyone was surprised and they wondered, since nobody taught him this before, how did he know to ask Teacher for help?

The baby's mother did not know the truth about Dafa. She once beat him and threatened him. Afterwards, however, he was still very happy. When seeing other practitioners coming, he recited Hong Yin to them. He also helped his grandma give materials to other practitioners. When seeing his sincere attitude and seeing him busily running here and there like an adult, we all smiled.

Yes, from this two-and-a-half year old baby, I saw the gaps in myself where I need to catch up. I started to practice in 1997, and I experienced myself the magnificence of Dafa. When doing the sitting meditation, the energy came down from the top of my head to all over my body, which made me feel wonderful. It was the rotating Falun over my head that guided me to the practice site in a park and that's when I started to practice. Teacher purified my body, and more importantly, taught me how to upgrade my xinxing. There was thought karma after thought karma, and sickness karma after sickness karma, and all of these were overcome under the compassionate care of Teacher. As far as I know, every practitioner in my area has experienced the extraordinariness of Dafa and Teacher's compassion. Every practitioner is an example and a witness to this. If we look back, is it not true that since we first started to practice, every one of us has experienced some miraculous things for ourselves?

Right now, every genuine practitioner is using their skills to prepare materials, clarify the truth, and encourage people to quit the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) and its subordinate organizations. We did not let up in these things even for one day. It is just that the evil does not fully know who Dafa disciples are, and in fact, they are not qualified to know.

I am sharing this two-and-a-half-year-old Dafa disciple's story with fellow practitioners today so that we can encourage each other. At present, we do not have a peaceful environment to do the exercises and study the Fa. But we should never neglect that Teacher told us to:

"...take the Fa as the Master" (Fa-Lecture at the Conference in Florida, U.S.A.).

Teacher is by our side at all times. At the final moment of Fa-rectification, we need to do well the three things that Teacher has told us to do. This is also a process of establishing our mighty virtue.
