Rationally Viewing the Persecution Our Fellow Practitioners Have Encountered

(Clearwisdom.net) Before 2006, when local practitioners in my area learned that CCP (Chinese Communist Party) officials had illegally arrested certain practitioners, their first thought usually was that the detained practitioners had loopholes in their cultivation. What followed would be blaming and complaining, which actually aggravated the detained practitioners' tribulations and also negatively affected rescue efforts. Later on, through the Fa study and reading Minghui/Clearwisdom website articles, the local practitioners came to realize the following: when certain practitioners encountered the evils' persecution, our first thought must be our complete negation of the old forces' arrangements. We forbid the old forces to persecute any of us, even if there are some existing loopholes in the practitioners' cultivation. This kind of understanding should be considered reasonable. Unfortunately, many practitioners in the local region went knowingly or unknowingly to the other extreme; that is, when a practitioner is illegally arrested, no one should say that the practitioner had gaps in his or her cultivation (of course that meant that none of us should say the whole cultivation body had gaps); whoever mentioned the existence of gaps would be considered "having stood on the side of the evil, and become accomplices of the old forces."

In fact, it was because the detained practitioners had gaps in their cultivation that they were persecuted, whether or not we acknowledge the gaps. Master said,

"You should also be clear that 'natural' does not exist, and 'the inevitable' has reasons behind it." ("Expounding on the Fa" from Essentials for Further Advancement)

No matter what excuses the old forces have used to persecute the practitioners, if the practitioners have righteous thoughts at all times, do not let their human notions interfere with them and have done everything according to the Fa, and every thought of theirs is right, the old forces will then be unable to touch the practitioners. Master said,

"If you are a true practitioner, our Falun will safeguard you. I am rooted in the universe. If anyone can harm you, he or she would be able to harm me. Put simply, that person would be able to harm this universe." ("Lecture One" in Zhuan Falun)

It is already proven that practitioners who have righteous thoughts and deeds will certainly have Master's protection and will not run into problems, no matter how big the things they do.

When the fellow practitioners encounter persecution, it is right that our first thought ought to be to completely negate the old forces' arrangements and not acknowledge the persecution. However, negating the old forces' arrangements should not merely exist exist as a concept -- it should be followed by concrete resolutions. Adopting all effective measures to rescue detained practitioners is, of course, our way of negating the old forces' arrangements with our proactive deeds, but this is not enough. I believe that while rescuing any detained practitioners, based on the Fa, the local practitioners must also examine the issues that resulted in the persecution. Thus they can find the gaps existing in the whole body of local practitioners. Every practitioner needs to search inward and find all the human notions that are related to this persecution and get rid of them. The process of rescuing the detained practitioners has thus become one during which the whole body of local practitioners can improve together. Excuses the old forces had latched onto in the persecution of the detained practitioners will no longer exist, because the old forces usually take testing local practitioners as the biggest alibi to persecute certain practitioners.

Let's look at the issue from a different angle. When local practitioners have improved together, a powerful righteous field has formed in the region where detained practitioners will also be able to actively search within themselves; once they find and remove their attachments, the situation will turn for the better.

By contrast, when certain practitioners encounter persecution, we will not be able to see breakthroughs in our rescue efforts if what the local practitioners do is merely limited to sending forth righteous thoughts, posting truth-clarification banners, making some phone calls, sending out brochures, writing some persuasive letters, and so on. If local practitioners cannot comprehend the reasons for the illegal arrests from the standpoint of the Fa, the whole rescue attempt will end in a stalemate. It would also be this way because the old minions would then further find the gaps in the whole body of Dafa practitioners. Every practitioner subsequently must look within him or herself and let go of his or her attachments; then any rescue attempt might succeed.

Once a rescue effort is prolonged, local practitioners tend to slack off and gradually cease to do anything, thus "settling" the rescue efforts by leaving it unsettled. Our local practitioners' attempts to rescue Practitioner A is currently like this.

Two months ago, practitioner A was illegally arrested for hanging truth-clarifying banners on a grain truck. After the arrest the local practitioners immediately began a rescue effort, which should be considered rather extensive. However, the local practitioners had simply limited themselves to carrying out the actual rescue activities while they had not shared their understandings base on the Fa -- why practitioner A had encountered this tribulation. The local practitioners, of course, could not find the gaps that existed in the whole body, nor could each practitioners search within him or herself. The rescue effort has not yet shown any signs of succeeding. Practitioner A is still in detention, but the local practitioners have already become lax.

I wrote this article, aiming to share understandings with local practitioners. I hope that we might make breakthroughs in rescuing this practitioner. Please point out any improper understandings.
