Shuangcheng City (Heilongjiang Province) Policeman Zhang Guofu Persecuted His Brother, Sister-in-law and Niece

(Clearwisdom.net) In April 2002, Zhu Qingwen, Secretary of Shuangcheng City, and Wang Shuqing, Secretary of the Politics and Judiciary Committee in Shuangcheng City, ordered policemen Zhang Guofu and Jin Wanzhi and over 740 police officers to engage in a citywide arrest of Falun Dafa practitioners. Zhang Guofu's brother Zhang Tao, his sister-in-law, and his niece were among those arrested. Zhang Tao was persecuted in Changlinzi Forced Labor Camp, from which he was granted bail for treatment only when he was on the verge of death.

Mr. Zhang Tao was sent to Changlinzi Forced Labor Camp, where he was continually persecuted until his death on July 31, 2002. Zhang Tao's wife Ms. Yao Caiwei was sent to Wanjia Forced Labor Camp. Their daughter Ms. Zhang Jianhui was sentenced to ten years in prison, and she is being detained in the Harbin Women's Prison.

The police interrogated Ms. Zhang Jianhui and asked where the Falun Gong materials came from. She was beaten and her body was severely bruised. Her face was disfigured from the beating. Ms. Zhang refused to cooperate. She refused to write the "transformation statement" or the three statements. She therefore became their main target for further persecution. Since April 2, the prison has only allowed the immediate family members to see Ms. Zhang. They have to present their IDs before they can see her.

Ms. Zhang Jianhui, 26, is an elegant, gentle lady. She started practicing Falun Gong with her parents while she was in her teens. She strictly followed the requirements of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance." As a result, she did not suffer from any illness.

After Jiang's regime started persecuting Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, Jianhui went to Beijing with her parents many times to appeal for the good name of Falun Gong. She was arrested and harassed many times. Her parents were also arrested many times by the police who were supervised by her uncle Zhang Guofu. Her parents were detained and persecuted in the Shuangcheng City Detention Center.

Because there were people following and monitoring them, Mr. Zhang Tao was forced to take his daughter and leave home. Eventually, Ms. Zhang Jianhui could not live with her parents, as she risked being arrested at any time. She also had to endure the mental pain of her parents being tortured.

Zhang Jianhui's mother is almost blind since her release from Wanjia Forced Labor Camp. Half of her body is paralyzed and she is mentally slow. She has already lost her husband and can no longer endure the mental pain of her daughter being tortured.

We urge kindhearted people around the world to help rescue Jianhui so that she can be re-united with her mother.

We are also seriously warn policeman Zhang Guofu: You have used the persecution of Falun Gong to help you gain power. Because of you, your 26-year-old niece was sentenced to ten years in prison and is detained in Harbin Women's Prison. She has been in prison for over five years. If you still have any conscience left, you should go to Harbin Women's Prison and request the release of your niece and other Falun Gong practitioners.
