(Clearwisdom.net) New Jersey State Government Committee held a public
hearing on April 14, 2007 at the State Assembly Building on motion SR71
condemning the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) harvesting organs from living Falun
Gong practitioners. A number of Falun Gong practitioners in New Jersey and
representatives from some non-governmental organizations provided testimonies on
the spot. Five senators of the committee unanimously adopted the motion after
the hearing was over. They will submit the motion to the state senate for all
senators to vote. New Jersey State Government Committee hears a Falun Gong
practitioner's testimony State Senator Fred Madden, Jr. from the 4th constituency and State
Senator Wayne Bryant from the fifth constituency jointly proposed motion SR71
condemning the CCP harvesting organs from illegally detained Falun Gong
practitioners. The two senators made the proposal after having been fully aware
of Falun Gong since the beginning of the brutal persecution of Falun Gong in
mainland China in July 1999, in particular, learned about the tragedy of Falun
Gong practitioners who were illegally incarcerated and had their organs
harvested while they were still alive. The motion clearly pointed out that New
Jersey must condemn such acts of serious human rights violations as harvesting
organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. Ten state senators have signed the
motion. During the hearing, representative from the "Coalition to Investigate
the Persecution of Falun Gong" Wang Wenyi, representative from the
"Global Mission to Rescue Persecuted Falun Gong Practitioners" Li Li,
and Falun Gong practitioner Charles Lee who is residing in New Jersey provided
testimonies. Wang Wenyi introduced to the senators and other attendees some
evidence that have been obtained about the CCP harvesting organs from living
Falun Gong practitioners. American citizen Charles Lee recounted his personal
experience of being persecuted and forced to have blood tests when he was
illegally detained in mainland China. After the hearing, several Falun Gong
practitioners delivered to offices of state senators the report co-authored by
Canadian investigators David Matas and David Kilgour entitled "Report into
Allegations of Organ Harvesting of Falun Gong Practitioners in China."
